I think he’s a bit too loud, otherwise he’s fine, I personally like the “uninterested” trope but dislike when they make the boy a tsundere and don’t just get on with the boy liking the girl. In this regard he’s done ok? He looks like a shitter as well. Good protagonist for the scenario but overall pretty mid.

average mc for me classically unemotional don't understand anything to girl's acts and etc. I mean not bad but common mc type. Hikigaya was evolved in anime and Hikigaya's first times was also interesting. Solving problems with own style and head mentality.

Fuutaro is definitely one of my favorite romcom protags. His growth is a lot more apparent in the manga. By the last quarter of the manga, he’s an entirely different person from who he was in the beginning. That’s clear around the end of the Sister’s War Arc.
