Do teenage/pre-adolescent light novel authors and illustrators exist in real life?

Just wondering out loud...having watched Eromanga Sensei and now watching this anime...whether in Japan...under 18 light novel authors and illustrators exist?

For me, I think it isn't possible. I might be wrong though!

yes they do. But not in the sense that they genius authors. Many teenage author submit their manuscripts to companies, but most of the time they are told to wait until they're a bit older. However, many of them are still given editors to help them get better and work on deadlines in order for them to start working.

So in other words, yes there are teenage author but not as many as some anime would have you believe.
