| This is just another harem show, with tons and tons of filler and a bunch of pointless characters. Why do people still trash an obviously 10/10 anime like Infinite Stratos 2 for being filler-y with no actual plot? |

| That's because it's an episodic show. It is supposed to be a fun anime where we follow characters and their shenanigans. I also wouldn't call it a harem; sure there are a lot of fiances that show up, but that's more of adding to the shenanigans and adds to the joke. If you are looking for a plot driven show, this is not it. |

| This is basically a valid criticism but calling it "just another" harem is missing important context, which is to say that Rumiko Takahashi played a huge role inventing harem anime in 80's & 90's. Urusei Yatsura really deserves more of the credit for pioneering most of these tropes but Ranma was its spiritual successor in every kind of way and definitely carried the harem torch forward into the 1990's. Love them or hate them, harem anime couldn't exist without Takahashi-sensei and these two series. |
