To me it means that people take different paths in their lives. The contrasting ideas of these 2 main characters. The boy is what you would consider as "normal", trying to get the best out of his life by working hard, while the girl, is someone who is completely submerged in a religion and her blind obedience towards those beliefs has probably led to her becoming what you would consider as "crazy".
It shows that there are different types of people in this world and some can even go to extreme measures such as converting into a small religious cult which is completely ridiculous in my opinion.
This one-shot has explored something that is a controversial matter in our world. Does religion have to exist? To some extent, yes. People need to be spiritually healthy. That's what I think as an atheist. No offense intended to any religious people. I've experienced religion myself, going to a religious school (Roman Catholic) but I just couldn't stand believing in what they taught me in RE. There was also some family influence as well (my whole family are atheists) so yeah... |
