| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- (BEWARE OF SPOILERS!!!!) What a bittersweet ending.....!! TT______TT I'm happy we get to see some kind of closure on all of the characters' relationship in this chapter. Iroo and Taehee (I'm surprised Iroo is still in love with her after all those years and believed those lies lol). Sunyool with Sihyun seeing him on the news. Sihyun with Sunyool seeing her at Taehee's wedding. Their monologues were both so sorrowful and caused my heart to ache. It's very realistic (that some relationships just dont work out due to social class differences) and yet it was beautifully (and heart-wrenchingly) done. Sunyool and Sihyun, you'd always be my beloved first ship in this series TT______TT  Basically all the ships I had in mind at the beginning of this series didn't end up together OTL I thought Sunyool would end up together with Sihyun somehow but nope. I thought we would've seen Iroo together with Taehee, but nope. I felt like the author was trolling me lol I've started reading this manhwa a few years ago and only today was I able to finally access the whole manhwa until the ending. Even so I've never forgotten about this series because even when I was left hanging on chapter 2 of vol 3 for years, I have already thought then that this series is not like the typical romeo-and-juliet "forbidden love" story. It's more like a heartbreak-happens-but-life-goes-on kind of story. It's quite a refreshing change. Even though it causes so much heartache in my part lol. Nevertheless, I can say that I am happy for all of the characters' endings, although they differ from what I initially thought they'd be. I wouldn't say that this is an exceptionally super, fantastic romance series, but I know that I'll remember this series always, amongst the many that I have read and will read in the future. There really is something about this series. And paying to read the chapters all the way until the end of the series was worth every cent :) |
