I asked myself why do (some) girls like yaoi and this idea hit me.
Yaoi has male characters (even old ones, if you cut their beard, that is) that look (more or less) like girls.
What if yaoi fangirls find in yaoi just a way to express their subconscious homosexuality/love for girls?

EDIT:
Could this apply to boys watching yuri, you would ask... well my answer to that would be: girls in yuri don't look very mannish xD.(just joking here ppl :D )
Aside from that, there can be a possibility that this theory can apply to boys, but it needs more debate very much like a Phd. thesis in psychology... please do disscuss! ^_^

(sorry about my broken english btw)

I doubt it. I know many many girls who are straighter than an arrow and they are huge yaoi fans. Anyway, I think that if they were lesbians that they'd read yuri instead.
Oh, and your English wasn't broken at all. =)

But what if they don't want to admit that and try to find a replacement?

Eeeeh, I still don't think so. I mean, it could be for some of them, but I doubt if a substantial amount of yaoi fangirls are lesbians.

There was only one bit that I noticed could have been worded a little differently, but other then that everything was practically perfect. ;)

Yeah, I guess your right.

I feel relieved then. I usually get tangled up in fancy words and lose my logic. Thanks again. :)

Naw, I don't think so. Yaoi fangirls are just very desperate and sad human beings with twisted minds.

Also, lesbians wouldn't want to see anything to do with guys anyway

Nah.
I've got a big friend of mine, who is also a BIG yaoi fan, she can talk about yaoi for weeks!
And she's even more in love - I would even say obsessed - with a guy. She can talk about him for YEARS. (She woke me up in the middle of the night just to talk about him. Three times at one night.)

Yaoi fangirls, especially the Western ones are obviously straight. They often fingering(you know) when reading or watching their favorite boy porn(as appose to girl porn like yuri). My point is they are no better than their nemesis, yuri or hentai fanboys who jack off towards their favorite materials. Both are equally sex-crazed but public seems to hate yaoi fangirls less than yuri or hentai fanboys because they are women.

No way mizrock! I believe that the public [whoever they are] hate yaoi fangirls more because of how rabid they are. If you think there is more hate at the hentai fans then that's because there are more of them.... I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not :/

Ok here we go...
Woman like to watch and think about malexmale relationships because its a well known forbidden thing in male sociology. Also men who have sex with other males tend to be submissive towards females or treat them equally. (Im assuming its based on that fact of "feeling each other pains and pleasures")
So when woman think "O that guy and that guy ship ship ship" they are really expressing how they want to see them in twisted and forbidden emotion. Woman like this also tend to enjoy "torture". Certain males also feel curious about it as in why is it so? I, myself have tested this. Even the most homo-phobic males grew silent at the other sexual advancement of males when done by someone close to them. (I never did the approaching myself) In the idea that woman like this yaoi because of hidden lesbian desires is also correct. Some woman want to try to have sex with other woman but instead of thinking directly they think gay male. For men its different, men like yuri cause they like it (this also can be true equally with woman to) This goes much deeper but I wont bore you all any longer.
**** 2d and 3d I only go for the 4d...
