Difference between "original" and remastered

Can somebody tell me the difference between the two versions of the anime? I can't seem to find anything.
When it comes to live-action movies I mostly hate remastered ones, like in the old Star Wars Movies (I hate George Lucas for it...) so I just wanted to be sure if I can watch the remastered version without being concerned that something was changed-

Seems like the video in the remaster has been sharpened with algorithms. Also, it includes 2 specials that weren't aired with the original (episodes 16 and 23 in the remaster)
