| Hi all, I really need help with importing iTunes playlist and I'll keep it brief. Short story: - My laptop is busted and is now sent for repair, but I managed to export the Library from the "File" menu in iTunes (Library.xml) - I play my songs directly from an external hard drive so they're all are backed up and safe - What I need is to restore all the data (such as date added, playlists, # of plays, star rating, etc), which I'm sure the XML file contains all of those - Right now I find no way of doing that in iTunes thanks to Apple's complicated iTunes-iPod system I'm currently using Windows Vista (soon Windows XP when my laptop is returned from service center). Can I do this? Perhaps by modifying the correct folders in the iTunes directory... |

| Have you tried: file -> library -> import playlist |

| I brelieve that option wasn't there when I checked earlier. Latest iTunes version of course. |

| Finally had the time to mess around with it and I figured it out. All I need to do was change the Music folder directories for the correct paths to my external, then simply Import Playlist. Case Closed. |
