I mostly buy on Amazon simply because I trust them, otherwise I am the master of used book stores and flea markets! (As well as Ebay, but only for cosplay and out of print stuff...)

The key to Ebay is buying from sellers with over 97% positive feedback and the more pictures of the product the better. Oddly enough I've had more trouble buying used manga from Amazon then from Ebay.

I buy mostly from my local bookstores (for manga basically), and the rest I'll buy from Right Stuff. If it's for figurines or imports of any kind, I'll go to Ami Ami. Though you have to use yen for purchases there, they have tons of awesome stuff ^.^

I've been kinda scared to purchase from AmiAmi since I don't know how yen converts to US dollars. I always think it's gonna come up in thousands of dollars in US.

Actually, yen converts to about 100 yen per dollar, so most things aren't too expensive ^-^
