Kamihime Project is a title worth getting excited about, especially if you’re a fan of the JRPG titles that Nutaku hosts. Players will be able to immerse themselves in a fully animated turn-based action game which challenges participants to battle for lost kingdoms in order to reclaim them. This world-spanning grand fantasy is filled with characters inspired by famous, mythological figures and it has held the #1 spot on DMM for the past 6 months. Kamihime Project showcases some of the most engaging and visually stunning character art and animations ever seen in a game hosted by Nutaku, and along with its frequent battle events, is sure to keep players competitive and engaged.

It’s no surprise that since its launch, Kamihime Project has claimed the title of Nutaku's best-selling game. Located in Montreal, Nutaku is a rapidly growing studio that’s managed to carve a niche for itself over the past two years by providing first-time access for English-speaking players to some of the most popular Japanese anime games. Titles such as 'Flower Knight Girl', 'Sengoku Providence' and 'X-Overd' bring a style of artwork and gameplay to western audiences that’s unique to Japanese games.

Long ago, the world of Kamihime Project lived in everlasting prosperity where magic flourished. Without warning, Ragnarok occurred. Civilizations were destroyed and the world was suddenly torn apart. Thousands of years later, the memory of that once magical realm has faded from the minds of those who still inhabit the world. While searching the ruins one day, you and your childhood friend Alyssa stumble upon a relic known as the Device. Guided by the voice of the Device, you summon the soul of Lancelot and set off on a journey to unravel the truth behind the forgotten mysteries of the world. To prevent Ragnarok from happening again, you must travel the globe collecting legendary beings known as Kamihime to prepare for the battle to come.

Kamihime are beings that possess the powers of gods or devils - they themselves may even be gods or devils. Each Kamihime wields strong magical abilities and incredible skills. Most importantly, their cooperation is essential if a second Ragnarok is to be averted. Their stories and personalities may differ, but they are all dedicated to the same task.

The unit roster is the one of the most unique elements in Kamihime Project: Greek monsters, Egyptian Gods, and Norse heroines fight side-by-side in a mix-up that hasn’t been seen in the west since the classic PC game Age of Mythology. Players will lead a special team of ‘Divine Princesses’ and ‘Eidolons’ in turn-based battles against nefarious monsters—gaining levels, abilities and items as they fight to free their lands from evil dominion. Recruiting and enhancing these characters is a key focus of the gameplay - strengthen your Kamihime, defeat the dark forces, and prevent catastrophe. Over 100 beautifully-animated and voice-acted allies are waiting to be discovered during the course of this expansive adventure!

Kamihime Project features regular updates from its original Japanese developers by introducing new items, characters and abilities into the game. The next battle event has just launched and it’s open to all players, allowing the most dedicated warriors to collect one-off characters only available during these limited-time events.

The English-language version of Kamihime Project was produced directly by the original Japanese development team, meaning you can expect the same level of care and attention that went into the original. You can follow the team on Twitter: @Kamihime_Nutaku, where they will be providing updates about the game’s upcoming events and features.

If you’ve ever wanted to build a team of warriors including a rockin’ Beelzebub, a fearsome female chimera, and a gender-swapped version of Amon-Ra - look no further than Kamihime Project!
