Dead Club is dead.

I suppose either all the good discussions have already taken place, or more people really need to watch this show.

There was a manga? Huh.

Hey guys, what's up.

Just wanted to let you all know about a little project some of us have cooked up to make Simoun more popular in the English language.

Check out here for details on "Summer of Simoun"~! We're looking for people to take part and be active and have fun. Hope to see you there. :D

You take Morinas, I'll take Wapourif! :D

Yay!!! I'm the 100th Member!!

I love Simoun. The music, the conflicts. I love the plot. It's very unique!! :D
I <3 Morinas >w<

Actually, Simoun in general deserves a lot more love then it gets. From what I can tell, even yuri fans are hesitant about watching it due to the kissing-to-power-the-Simouns, may seem like it's only yuri content. Gah, but there are so many stories behind it! :(

I'm going to be one of those new members who come in and randomly leave a comment, disregarding the current comment section conversation.

I love Wapourif! The lack of fandom Wapourif/Morinas love saddens me deeply. D:

Perhaps my definition of "epic" varies slightly from yours (having not seen either of the other two you've mentioned), but I find most of the soundtracks to BeeTrain series fairly compelling (Noir comes to mind as something sweeping and grandiose). Subtract points if you happen to dislike Yuki Kajiura, haha.

If you prefer a slightly darker and richer sound, you might want to try out Noein, though I may just be biased since that show was just so emotionally impacting in the first place. Again, deduct if you aren't too fond of choral compositions (there are pure orchestral pieces as well, though).

Utena.
It has the most epic soundtrack ever.
It's also my top favorite anime.

Been listening to the OST lately and I'm wondering if you guys know of any other anime with soundtracks that sound just as "epic". The only other ones in my playlists are The Vision of Escaflowne and Magic Knight Rayearth. Preferably a show with a decent story too, not necessarily yuri.

Indeed I am! I've just wrapped up Episode 17 (shush, I know I'm a slow rewatcher, haha). It's hard to keep up with current shows while still sifting through my backlog (Ghost Hound, for instance, is still begging to be finished). Could somebody loan me their time machine, please? I'll return it, I promise~

Natsuki-hime | Feb 17, 2009 4:46 AM
Haha, so you're in the re-watch process then :P
Let me know what do you think about the ending when you finish...

Yes, get the point! Will watch it soon :D
