Now put me in a dress and call me Betsy! They're actually doing a Prism Nana OVA. I really did not expect that.

BTW, I'll attempt to fix the description in a few hours.

hahah i like this new description xD

Nucksen | Apr 11, 2015 2:30 AM
Sadly, I don't have the image files otherwise I would've done it already. I think the only one with the files ready is Megadedhed and he's mostly absent.

All the images in the "description" section of the club don't work, because Imageshack sucks. The club admins should rehost them on imgur or something.

Tsukimonogatari in December ^^
I can't wait for anime ;3

Ty Nucksen, so that's why Prism Nana wasn't added to the wikipedia page of Studio Shaft. Can't wait for Koufuku Graffiti. Oh, and yes, i enjoyed Hanamonogatari very much.

A bit late, but:
Prism Nana is not an anime, but a series of Pachinko machines. Shaft just made some commercial spots and helped design the machines.

The only thing planned recently(aside Kizumonogatari) is a show called Koufuku Graffiti planned for Winter Season. It's a SOL/Cooking anime with Ecchi elements as far as I know.

On another note: Has anyone of you already seen Hanamonogatari? I watched it on TV and it was pretty good, but not as good as some other parts of the series. The soundtrack was superb(great new versions of older themes and some new tracks that reminded me of ambient era Aphex Twin), most visuals were beautiful and Sawashiro Miyuki was incredible as Suruga. Sadly, episode 4 of 5 was pretty weak. A very long, repetitive and meandering monologue with very lazy and unimpressive visuals. I guess I would've liked it if I understood what was said(my japanese is pretty horrible), but at this point, the monologue drags the whole thing down to an 8/10.

Hi Prince, they're working on an anime called Prism Nana .w.

PrinceVBritannia | Jun 4, 2014 8:33 AM
Is Shaft producing any new animes besides hanamonogatari this summer?

PrinceVBritannia | May 11, 2014 3:59 PM
Thanks for the reply! I guess I was just wondering what other animes had that similar style,

Nucksen | May 11, 2014 12:47 PM
Ef has been made by Oonuma Shin, who now resides at Silver Link as main director. Mekakucity Actors, like most Shaft shows, has been made by Team Shinbo, which has this very distinctive, design-driven style. Most shows by Team Shinbo look like that or similar. The best example for this is Monogatari Series(Bake-, Nise-, Neko-Monogatari and Monogatari Second Season). Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei also shows lots of similarities but is even more open and basically every show Shinbo ever made has this in spades. It's not really that unique by now, given how he has done this stuff, but i still love it, as i love his idea of design and animation.

I just watched the episodes of Mekakucity Actors. Iv'e seen some of Ef: A tale of memories. But Mekakucity looks identical to the Monogatari series, are a lot of shaft's productions similar to this style of art and directing?
I mean its totally unique and I love the style so much! But I'm wondering if they use that style a lot? I didn't see nearly as much similarity's in Ef

Bringing back a little more energy to this club, kyee-hee.
I really hope that the Mekaku City Actors (Kagerou Days, Kagerou Project) will be paced nicely. This is one of those adaptations that I don't want to see ruined because of the poorly-sharpened factors all around.

Nucksen | Dec 20, 2013 3:26 AM
Mekaku City Actors has been added to related Anime

I guess we disagree on the meaning of 'masterpiece' then. I would hardly call anything nobody cares about a masterpiece. For me, a 'masterpiece' is not just something I like (that's a favorite), it's something the creators will be known for for a long time.

I am not going to try and change the word MAL uses for 10-ratings though, I don't care that much about semantics. ;)
