Code Geass: The Valkyries' Club. This club is dedicated to the memory of the beautiful pilots of the Grausam Valkyrie Squadron from episode 18 of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2. This squadron of uniquely colored pink and white Vincents is piloted by an all-female quartet aged 15 to 25. Only two of its members make brief yet tragically powerful appearances: Marika Soresi (マリーカ ・ソレーシー) - After attending a military acedemy in Area 11, this brown-haired, azure-eyed girl gained prestige by serving directly under Cornelia li Britannia. She then went on join the Valkryie Squadron under the command of Luciano Bradley. During the second battle of Tokyo, Marika is killed without warning or a chance to defend herself amidst a cowardly surprise attack by Kallen Stadtfeld that wipes out the entire squadron. Just before her cockpit explodes, she manages to cry out the name of her brother, Kewell Soresi, who had previously met his death at the hands of Kallen also. Liliana Vergamon (リーライナ・ヴェルガモン) - This blonde, sea green-eyed girl served under Cornelia before Marika, who later become Liliana's successor. Liliana later joined the Valkyrie Squadron, serving at the same time as Marika. Shocked by the sudden and unexpected nature of Kallen's back-stabbing attack during the second battle of Tokyo, Liliana dies alongside the entire squadron as all four Vincents explode simultaneously. The extreme brevity of their combined screen time (2.5 seconds), their unique and undeniably cute character designs, the tragic nature of their sad and empty deaths, and the many thought-provoking questions they leave behind continue to spark intrigue to this day as evident by continuing fan art and fan fiction. May the Valkyrie Squad live on forever... MAJOR UPDATE 12/21/2015: It has been confirmed in the latest chapter of Oz: O2 that Marika survived her knightmare's explosion and was rescued while falling! Liliana's fate is still unknown. I plan to translate the relevant pages to obtain more details and will update this page accordingly following the holidays.
