Yep, ultimately as long as the rest of the series still remains good in terms of plot and characters then that's all that matters. Sadly though I haven't seen the Toaru series yet so I can't say anything regarding that.

@MilesEdgeworth yeah I agree. I do not mind ecchi if it does not overshadow the plot. I mean look at the Toaru no index/railgun series. There was ecchi but it did not ruin the amazing plot that was present.

So true, ecchi in itself isn't necessarily bad but when that's all there is to an anime/manga that's definitely disappointing.

This is why the Rosario + Vampire anime just can't compare to its manga, they scrapped a lot of the character development and plot that made it interesting in favor of ecchi comedy.
