@AkuDaiki - A One-Shot is basically a single chapter stand alone story. Most manga begin as one-shots that are then picked up for serialization and expanded on. For some really excellent examples see Mysterious Girlfriend X Chapter 1, which was originally published as a one-shot in 2004 and wasn't picked up for serialization until 2004. The one-shot tells a complete story, about how the two became boyfriend/girlfriend, but leaves a ton left to be developed. Two other good examples, of a different kind, are Nisekoi and Half & Half (by Seo Kouji) They both had one-shots that were actually complete stories, then were picked up for serialization and significantly changed in order to make them a serial. In both cases, major parts of the story were changed, including the design of the heroine and the nature of the accident that starts everything in Half & Half (In the one-shot, she looked like Yuzuki from Kimi no Iru Machi and they were both hit by a truck, in the serialization she looks more like one of the other KNIM characters and she hit him when she fell or jumped off of a building. You find out which a few chapters in...) and the relationship between the male and female protagonists in Nisekoi (In the one-shot, they knew each other since childhood, in the serialization, the female protagonist just moved to Japan from America.) |

Im currently making a one shot too haha :D Although Im just starting out a draft in my school notebook lol but I still think it looks good. If I could just find a way around that picture problem dammit lol |

Ok so Im trying to post a drawing of mine, but the file size is too big :c I tried reducing the photo's size but it still not enough. If i try to make it smaller my drawing will be cut-off. Any tips? |
