I hate Haruhi (the character) but the anime itself is okay.This review pointed out all Haruhi's flaws. The person who wrote it had the same experience as me, he thought Haruhi would be a great show. I tried to read other reviews but there are only people who rated it 9 or 10. Yeah Haruhi is a Mary-Sue, never thought of it. It seems so obvious now. She thinks she can do everything she wants to just because she's talented. And this is why she looks down on people. Tsundere are really overrated. They have no character development yet they're loved. As for the Nagato, Mikuru and Koizumi, the person is totally right. I also think that Koizumi was made for the female audience. I don't hate him, though. I think I pity him. Also, I wonder if the auther does it on purpose but Haruhi never says sorry or something like that. Even if she's wrong, she never loses. When I watched The Sigh of Haruhi, I was really waiting for someone to slap her. No wonder why she thinks she's superior if everyobdy acts that way and let her do anythings she wants. I'm still trying to understand how people can love her but I think it's beyond me. I read three volumes of the novel and the only thing worth reading the book is the narration. If Kyon wasn't here, I would've dropped this anime with no regrets. Tsundere, fanservice, that's what makes Haruhi so popular. |

Never knew there was this club.I'm not a Haruhi hater, I hate the character but the anime itself is watchable. But I don't understand why everyone is so crazy about this anime, claiming that it is "THE BEST ANIME EVER§§" "MASTERPIECE, GO WATCH IT" "FUCKING AWESOME PLOT AND GREAT CHARACTERS".. When I first watched Haruhi, I thought I downloaded the wrong anime because it wasn't awesome at all. People just kept saying that it was great etc, they got my hopes up. The plot isn't special, ok, the heroine wants to meet aliens etc. What else ? As for the characters : tsundere, kuudere, loli.. I can't understand why people love Haruhi. She's self-centered and always complain. Mikuru isn't interesting, she's just in the show for the fanservice. As for Nagato, she never talks but has a lot of fans. I don't hate her but I'm not fan of hers either. There's just Kyon that I love, I'm totally watching the show for him. What annoys me the most in Haruhi is the fandom : they think their anime is the best and if you didn't watch it, you wasted your time. Also, in the first season, they said things like "the fact that the episodes aren't in order make us watch the anime in another way etc", it's just annoying ! Fanboys are pitiable. The first season was good just for a few episodes. Baseball episode was useless and so is the last episode. The movie was cool, though. Haruhi doesn't deserve this popularity, the anime is nice but really overrated. |
