In our Top 10, Fruits Basket: The Final keeps rising higher every week and it has actually reached 8.90, which is pretty impressive, and let's hope it reaches the rare 9.0 score. Next up we reach Tokyo Revengers & Iruma-kun 2 which performed well this week, and Vivy slowly inching every week to reach 8.5. Finally, due to Higehiro's continuing collapse, the #10 spot is now held by Zombieland Saga: Revenge, and it might stay this way for the remaining weeks of the season.

This week, in the middle of the chart, we saw a lot of shuffles between the #20-#25 spots. And while that's happening, Osamake continues to infuriate as it collapses an another -0.15 points this week, which made way for Mars Red & Edens Zero to climb up a spot.

And finally, we have F'ed By My Best Friend seeing one of the biggest gains done in this season with +0.25 points. With that, not only it surpassed 3 animes during this week, it finally reached the 6.0 score, which is pretty impressive considering how low it is. It's really an anomaly of the season, and will it hit a perfect streak for the rest of the season?

So it seems that about half of the animes in this list still can't find a way to stop their continuing losses, with the most popular ones being Osamake, Full Dive RPG, Shaman King, along with other titles that are continuing to lose points to this week. And sadly, animes like TYE, Higehiro & Mashiro no Oto can be also counted now in those other titles.

There are also some noticeable shuffles between the #9 to #14, with the winners being Shadows House, Zombieland Saga: Revenge, and Odd Taxi (once again). Osamake continues to be one of the big losers, losing 2 spots. And still, F'ed By My Best Friend continues to become an anomaly in the chart as it gets its biggest weekly gain yet with +0.06 points.

We're now at the 6th week of the Spring 2021 season, meaning that we're now at the halfway point of the season and the blog series. Unlike the last couple of weeks, this week felt more calmer as the animes of this season are finally settling down in their spots. Although there are still some considerable developments during this week, and it might set the tone for the 2nd half of the Spring 2021 season.

The Top 10 (overall) this week was static, with continuing collapses from To Your Eternity & Higehiro, and continuing gains from Nomad, Fruits Basket, Vivy & Tokyo Revengers.

Speaking of Tokyo Revengers, this week was good for the anime as it now reached the 8.0 zone in MAL. Winter 2021 season had a lot more 8+ animes than Spring, but with the arrival of Tokyo Revengers, the number for Spring now sums up to 6.

And before we leave the Top 10, after weeks of anticipation and great rises, Odd Taxi is now at the Top 10. It took Odd Taxi for Mashiro no Oto to lose to get to the tenth spot. Who knows how far Odd Taxi would reach its score, but so far it has been all gains every week, though it never will be said anymore for Mashiro no Oto, which was also rising alongside Odd Taxi.

Outside the Top 10, Super Cub also lost this week, breaking its streak. While Shadows House keeps gaining as it now reaches the score 7.6. Unfortunately, there is also the continuing losses for MHA 5 as it lost again, cutting -0.04 points this week.

The middle of the chart has calmed down, with only minor shuffles to be seen. Full Dive RPG lost heavily AGAIN as it loses -0.16 points, with no end in sight for its continuing deterioration. Which led Edens Zero gaining a spot, an anime that has been underperforming in the charts. Another note for How Not to Summon a Demon Lord 2 & Shaman King, and SSSS.Dynazenon & Godzilla: S.P, animes that shuffled spots with each other this week.

The rest feels like a status quo, with most animes continuing to shed points. Yet we still have F'ed By My Best Friend gaining another point...again. And ending off this week, we have a noticeable slump for Battle Athletess, which after some mild but continuing losses, collapsed this week, leading it to plunge to 5.21. Yikes.

That's it for this week, the most calmest week we've got so far in this season. If I can predict, this state of slow movements will occur for another 2-4 weeks, which will end as the season nears its due. But that's it for your boy, stay healthy everyone, protect yourselves, and have a good day.

Another week, another set of movements in the Spring 2021 rankings chart, it is the 5th week of the seasonal blog series, and it looks like several titles in this list are still making big moves to further propel their scores, and some...still falling into the nether zones.

Note: Before you check the list, I decided to rename Bishounen Series, since it was just an initial English title for the series.
It will now be known as Pretty Boy Detective Club going forward, so if you were confused at first look, here is the reason why.

When I looked at this list, I said to myself, "yes, this is just like last week, but a bit calmer". What I meant is that the movements for most of the chart is similar to what happened last week with some scattered differences.

First, our Top 5, and it seems like the Top 5 has some interesting developments. To Your Eternity is losing momentum as it keeps losing back-to-back points, which is shaving off from what has been the best debut of the season. While the #1 which is Fruits Basket: The Final is slowly gaining score, and it might reach the 8.8-8.9 zone soon, with the way that it is moving. But one of the big winners this week is still Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song which gained +0.08 this week. And with the way that it is going, Vivy might seriously challenge TYE in the later weeks of the season, but who knows if Vivy might keep the momentum or fall short in season-end.
Nothing to say for Moriarty 2 which didn't move this week, and Megalo Box 2 slowly inching the distance between it.

Just outside the Top 5, we have Tokyo Revengers gaining big with +0.09 points! This resulted in the drops for 86, Iruma-kun 2 & Higehiro.
Mashiro no Oto & Odd Taxi are still doing well this week, but both did not move spots this week. But what did move spots this week are Super Cub & Shadows House, with both gaining minimal points, yet they pushed off titles like Tensura Nikki...and My Hero Academia 5. Oh yeah the latter dropped -0.06 points this week, I don't know why it's doing so bad.

Now the reason why I kinda see similar movements in this week from last week is due to the movements in the middle of the chart. This week, Osamake & Full Dive RPG lost heavily again, with the former losing -0.15 points, and the latter shedding -0.18 points. At this point, they're both collapsing in a nosedive, but this resulted (once again) with gains for the ones that benefited from the collapses of the aforementioned losers. Seijo, Kabaddi, Koikimo and others all gained atleast one spot due to the heavy falls of Osamake & Full Dive RPG.

And just like last week, animes that occupy the #32-#37 spots did not shuffle despite all losing points. The worst loser of the bunch is once again Jouran: The Princess of Snow and Blood which lost another -0.11 points, making it one of the worst performers in this season so far.

This week, we have a new entry with the name of Mazica Party debuting at 5.59...which is a mediocre score to begin with. Like I expected from last week, there will be kids/short-form anime that will have its MAL score, and it seems that Mazica is the first one to have it. Who knows if more will come, but the fact remains, that short-form anime can have their scores, even if it takes weeks or even years since their premiere.

In the nether regions (aka the bottom) of the chart, we see yet disappointing losses from most of the titles. But once again, F'ed By My Best Friend gained another point...I don't know why but it's weird. Because of Mazica's debut this week, we saw the collapses for Cestvs & Battle Athletess, both losing points, with the latter becoming the lowest-rated show of the season. The spot was previously held by Fairy Ranmaru, which didn't move this week.

Lastly, we end this off with a bizarre note. GLOOMY The Naughty Grizzly, despite not moving this week, gained +0.14 points, making it the biggest gainer this week. Even though it has a very tiny following, some people decided to rate it high, which led it gaining a lot during this 5th week of the season.

Another active week in the rankings, and I can already see stark changes in the horizon. The continued success of Vivy & others are pushing off other solid animes that just can't keep up. Full Dive RPG, Osamake & Jouran are still falling nosedive, and Mazica Party is now part of the Spring 2021 crew. And that's about it.

First things first, all the Top 5 anime (except for TYE) have gained score, with Nomad: Megalo Box 2 having a +0.07 gain, which further widen the gap between it & 86. Tokyo Revengers & Mashiro no Oto have also gained pretty well ths week, and it looks like they're gonna compete with Higehiro & 86 in the 7.9 zone.

But none can compete to Odd Taxi which has been gaining +0.10 points or above in back-to-back weeks. I'm just happy that we have Odd Taxi as the dark horse of the Spring 2021 season, and I've been hearing a lot of good things about this show, so this might be a great one once I watched it.

In the middle of the charts, we have a messy shuffle in our hands. This is due to a lot of collapses in the middle, with Osamake, Shaman King & especially Full Dive RPG losing a lot of points this week. Surprisingly, the ones that were stagnant this week are the ones who gained a lot from the aforementioned collapses, with Bishounen Series, Nagatoro-san, The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent & Combatants Will Be Dispatched all gaining a lot of spots despite moving a single inch.

The other notable feature this week are the animes between #29 & #40. All animes between the 29th & the 40th spots have lost points, but none of them traded spots. It is odd but this is because of the considerable distance in their scores. I've already mentioned Full Dive RPG, but the biggest losers this week are Jouran (again), Battle Athletess, GLOOMY & Cestvs: The Roman Fighter. The latter anime lost -0.23 points this week, which is the biggest collapse we have seen in the season so far. Lastly, in the bottom of the pack, we have F'ed By My Best Friend having a surprise mini-gain, which led it to trade spots between Cestvs.

This was a crazy week, but I think that this is as crazy as it will get. From the 5th to 13th week, I predict that things are going to slow down, and anime will rarely move, especially in the later weeks. But who knows, I have seen some crazy shifts even in the late-season.
