September is Demon Slayer Month
Anime Relations: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Hello, I hope you guys have a great month so far, and I can tell September is a great month for anime because the new Demon Slayer movie, The Infinity Castle, just came out in theaters last week. Everyone loves this movie, which made it hit No. 1 at the box office globally. So does it to my stepbrother. He went to see the Demon Slayer movie with his friends last weekend, and he liked it.
I first heard that Demon Slayer is another popular anime based on the manga years before the pandemic happened, and I saw lots of merchandise in the stores that inspired Demon Slayer as one of the popular anime of all time, plus attractions inspired by the show in Universal Studios Japan. Not to mention my stepbrother was watching this show from Crunchyroll. Since I heard that this movie is great, I have to start the Demon Slayer series and films to keep it up to the movie that was released last weekend.
So if you haven't seen it yet, be sure to see it now playing in theaters.

My Anime Watch for Summer 2025
Hello, and Konnichiwa, it's been a long time since I wrote the previous blog in Spring 2025. I've been busy with summer classes and other activities over the summer. Now that I've already graduated from college, I'm free to watch anime nearly every day and night.
Plus, my dreams finally came true when I became a cast member again at Walt Disney World Resort as a Part-Time Sales Associate.
Anyway, without further ado, since it's in the middle of Summer simulcast, here are the anime I'm now watching part of Summer 2025.
1. Kaiju No. 8 Season 2: It's the second season of last year's show that follows the story of Kafka, who has been transformed into a Kaiju and trained to be part of the battle group, along with his childhood friend, Mina. Continuing the story as Kafka Hibino’s life takes another intense turn. This installment adapts the “Kaiju Weapon” and “Compatible User” arcs from the manga, promising more profound lore, higher stakes, and emotional growth for our characters.
2. Sakamoto Days Part 2: The continuous part of the anime that continues the action-packed journey of retired hitman Taro Sakamoto.
3. Dan Da Dan Season 2: The second season of last year's season as well. The trio uncovers cursed family secrets, confronts the Mongolian Death Worm, and battles the terrifying Evil Eye that takes over Jiji, raising emotional and supernatural stakes to new heights.
4. Gachiakuta: A dark-fantasy anime about Rudo, a wrongly accused boy thrown into the Abyss, where he fights for survival with strange weapons, faces nightmarish monsters, and seeks justice in a society that cast him away.
5. Clevatess: A dark-fantasy anime about a demon king who wipes out humanity’s strongest defenders only to end up raising a human baby with the help of one of the undead heroes he killed.
6. Betrothed to My Sister's Ex: A romance anime about the girl named Marie, a mistreated baron’s daughter, who has always lived in the shadow of her glamorous sister Anastasia. When a marriage proposal intended for Marie is mistakenly given to Anastasia, tragedy strikes, and Anastasia is believed dead. To save her family, Marie is sent to fulfill the engagement only to discover that her fiancé, the kind noble Kyros, truly meant to choose her all along.
7. Detectives These Days Are Crazy!: A comedy anime about a once‑legendary high school detective, now past his prime and struggling with modern life, reluctantly accepts a spirited high school girl as his apprentice, sparking comical detective antics as the downtrodden sleuth rediscovers purpose through their mismatched partnership.
8. Nyaight of the Living Cat: A horror anime follows Kunagi, an amnesiac with a disturbingly extensive knowledge of cats, who must battle his instincts to pet these irresistibly cute creatures because one cuddle could mean the end of humanity. As survivors band together in a bizarre and perilous struggle to retain their humanity, they must resist the urge to “boop” the felines that threaten to turn them into purring monsters.
9. With You and the Rain: A slice-of-life anime about a quiet, solitary novelist named Fuji who encounters a peculiar tanuki (raccoon dog) left in a box while coming home drenched by the rain. The animal writes “I am a dog” and “I’m easy to take care of” on a sketchpad, and even offers Fuji an umbrella as if to seal their bond. Amused and charmed, she decides to bring him home, naming him “You,” and their simple, heartwarming daily life together begins.
10. The Summer Hikaru Died: A horror anime that almost took place in the year 2020, but not the time when the pandemic hit, and had to be quarantined at home. After his best friend Hikaru goes missing during a mountain hike, he mysteriously returns, but Yoshiki soon realizes something is off. Hikaru has not returned intact: an otherworldly entity has taken over his form, complete with memories and voice. Despite this unsettling truth, Yoshiki clings to the familiar presence and chooses to protect the entity’s secret. A quiet and eerie rural village becomes the backdrop for their fragile, haunting coexistence.
11. Private Tutor to the Duke's Daughter: A fantasy anime about Allen, a promising young sorcerer who fails his final court exam, finds himself strapped for cash and without prospects. When he’s offered a tutoring position by Duke Howard, he gladly accepts, only to discover that his pupil, Tina, despite being academically brilliant, is magically incapable. Tasked with preparing her for the prestigious Royal Academy, Allen must uncover and overcome the mysterious block preventing her spells from working, even though even the kingdom's greatest magicians have failed.
12. Puniru is a Kawaii Slime Season 2: The second season of last year's is now about their lighthearted friendship, which is expanding with the arrival of Gelee, a perfection‑obsessed AI who challenges Puniru’s identity and Kotaro’s affections, sparking a comically intense rivalry.
13. Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show: A horror anime about a spirited junior high livestreamer named Miko Kurono, known online as Necronomico, is drawn into a mysterious virtual reality game alongside her childhood friend Mayu and rival Kanna. What begins as a quirky “death‑game” adventure rapidly turns cosmic when they face off against eerie, elder god–like beings in a bizarre and twisted entertainment spectacle.
14. Onmyo Kaiten Re:verse: An Isekai anime about Takeru Narihira, a high‑school delinquent plagued by recurring dreams of a mysterious girl named Tsukimiya, is flung into Denji Heian‑kyō, a futuristic version of ancient Kyoto where technology and mysticism collide after a freak accident. There, Takeru discovers his dream girl is real, but a deadly black mist unleashes Oni that kill them both. Takeru awakens to find he’s been sent back in time, determined to learn onmyō techniques from the legendary Abe no Seimei and rewrite destiny to save Tsukimiya.
15. The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses: A comedy anime about Toto, who is a physically imposing yet painfully shy E-rank adventurer who struggles to form a party until three beautiful women, Anemone, Ciel, and Goa, offer to join him. Unbeknownst to Toto, they are assassins, each plotting to kill him for their reasons.
16. Turkey! Time to Strike: A sports anime about the Ikkokukan High School bowling club led by the talented but mysterious captain Mai, who always follows a perfect “Turkey” (three strikes) with a brutal “Snake Eyes” split, tries to keep the team alive when first-year Rina threatens to quit. During their showdown, a freak lightning strike triggers magical time travel, sending the girls hurtling into Japan’s war-torn Sengoku period. Now stranded in the past, they must navigate the chaos of feudal life while hunting for a way back home.
17. Hotel Inhumans: A drama anime that takes place in a clandestine hotel catering exclusively to assassins, concierges Ikuro Hoshi and Sara Haizaki offer their specialized “services” to guests in dire need, be it protection, discretion, or even orchestrating deaths. Between retrieving lost loved ones, staging perfect exits, and fulfilling twisted final wishes, the duo navigates moral gray zones with keen tact and unspoken empathy.
18. Dealing with Mikadono Sisters is a Breeze: A comedy anime about Yū Ayase, the average-looking and exceptionally untalented son of a legendary actress, moves in with the Mikadono family only to discover he’s now roommates with the three prodigious Mikadono sisters: a celebrated actress, a martial arts star, and a shōgi genius. Despite his lack of extraordinary abilities, Yū’s knack for housekeeping and genuine kindness slowly win over the distant sisters and help bring them closer together.
19. Watari-kun's ****** Is about to Collapse: A rom-comedy anime about high schooler Naoto Watari has devoted his life to protecting his younger sister after their parents’ death until his childhood friend Satsuki Tachibana, remembered for destroying their family garden, suddenly transfers into his class. Her unsettling return unearths painful memories and threatens the fragile life Naoto has built, as unresolved secrets and tense emotions begin to unravel everything.
20. Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant!: A fantasy anime in which, exiled from the top-tier adventuring party he once served, former elite cook Dennis fulfills his dream by opening a countryside restaurant for wayward adventurers. Alongside Atelier, a spirited yet traumatized former slave girl, he serves comforting meals. He helps his unusual patrons, often quirky or troubled, find a bit of healing… though not without attracting dark and dangerous challenges.
21. Cultural Exchange with a Game Centre Girl: A comedy anime in which, on Valentine's Day, Renji Kusakabe, a university student working part-time at a game center, befriends Lily Baker, a 13‑year‑old British girl fumbling with a crane game. A sweet misunderstanding leads to a heartfelt bond as they exchange diaries and navigate language and cultural barriers through mutual curiosity and kind gestures.
22. Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin: An Isekai anime in which, after succumbing to illness, avid gamer Takuto Ira is reincarnated into the world of his favorite strategy game Eternal Nations as the ruler of Mynoghra, a feared “evil” civilization. Alongside his devoted demon lieutenant Atou, Takuto sets out to build a peaceful settlement and protect oppressed refugees, all while his “evil” reputation and expanding empire draw the attention of surrounding powers.
23. Uglymug, Epicfighter: An Isekai anime in which, after being falsely accused and becoming a shut-in, Shigeru Yoshioka is transported to another world, but unlike typical isekai protagonists, he chooses to remain unattractive, sacrificing his charm for overwhelming strength. Known as the “ugly mug,” he gains god-like abilities yet suffers painful stat penalties when touched by women, creating hilariously awkward situations around romance and battle alike.
24. Scooped Up by an S-Rank Adventurer: A fantasy anime about Lloyd, a humble white mage unfairly expelled from the hero’s party, who unexpectedly joins a powerful S‑Rank adventuring team. Though he sees himself as ordinary, his unmatched support magic gradually reveals his true strength, and as the hero’s party crumbles, Lloyd quietly rises to prominence.
25. Secrets of the Silent Witch: A fantasy anime about Monica Everett, known as the “Silent Witch,” is a teenage prodigy and the only mage capable of casting magic without chanting, an innovation driven by her severe social anxiety. Though one of the esteemed Seven Mages, she avoids the spotlight and speaks anonymously. When Louis Miller, another mage, insists she enroll in Serendia Academy under a false identity, she reluctantly takes on a covert mission: to serve as the silent guardian of the kingdom’s second prince, Felix, all while navigating social challenges at the academy.
26. New Saga: A fantasy anime about Kyle, a battle-hardened magic swordsman, who defeats the Demon King but at a devastating personal cost. Just as he’s near death, he grasps a mysterious relic and is sent four years back into the past. Armed with memories of the ruined future, he resolves to rewrite history, becoming stronger and changing fate to save humanity from its dark destiny.
27. Ruri Rocks: A slice of life anime about the high school student Ruri Tanigawa, who is secretly obsessed with shiny jewelry and crystals. Her fascination leads her into the mountains, where she meets Nagi Arato, a calm and knowledgeable graduate student studying mineralogy. Under Nagi’s patient guidance, Ruri’s innocent sparkle transforms into a more profound passion for the science and wonder of rocks, igniting her journey into mineral collecting and discovering the world in a whole new way.
28. WITCH WATCH: In the second cour, they dive deeper into supernatural entanglements, meeting new witches, tengu, and familiar while juggling school life, budding romance, and a looming prophecy that promises even greater mischief.
29. Dekin no Mogura: The Earthbound Mole: A mystery anime about Momoyuki Mogura, a self-proclaimed hermit barred from entering the afterlife, who wanders the modern world collecting mischievous, spirit-possessed will‑o'-the-wisps in his lantern. His off-kilter methods and deeply cynical worldview turn a supernatural comedy into a surprisingly poignant exploration of isolation and human connection.
30. Bad Girl: A comedy anime about high school freshman Yū Yutani, previously a top student, embarks on a dramatic transformation, adopting a delinquent persona, to catch the attention of her crush, the stern disciplinary chair Atori Mizutori.
Those are the anime shows I'm currently watching during the summer simulcasts.

My Anime Watch for Spring 2025
Now that the winter 2025 simulcast is over, it's time for the spring 2025 simulcast, which will include some new seasons and series. Here are the anime I look forward to watching in Spring 2025.

2. GO GO Loser Ranger Season 2- This is the second season of Go Go Loser Ranger since it came out on Disney+ last spring. This show is like an anime series of Super Sentai, but with more serious battles between rangers and demons.
3. Windbreaker Season 2—This is the second season of Windbreaker, which also came out last spring. It focuses on boys who go to a high school full of fighters, mostly on Haruka, who wants to get stronger as he fights against another high school team.
4. My Hero Academia: Virginette- This is the spin-off series of My Hero Academia before the final season comes out soon. It focuses on heroes fighting villains without a license and trying to solve the mystery of the special drug that has given the villains more power with their quirks.
5. Classic Stars - A musical school series about four men named after famous classical musicians utilizes their talents and music to share their gifts by singing songs that reflect their emotions.
6. Can A Boy-Girl Friendship Survive?- A Rom-Com show about a boy named Yu who likes making and designing accessories and wants to own a shop. However, when he was young, he met his childhood friend, Himari. Until he's in high school, he reunites with Himari, and they are still friends, or is it? Because Himari had a crush on him, but when he saw another girl named Rion, she would only like him as his friend, or maybe more than friends, depending on the situation.
7. Witch Watch- Another rom-com anime that will be here for Spring and Summer 2025. It's about the witch Nico, who reunites with her friend, an ogre named Notogi. She came back from her training on how to be a witch. But when Notogi's father told him to keep an eye on her while he was gone, Otogi freaked out because he just wanted to be a normal kid and not just an ogre. When they entered school, Otogi tried to keep Nico's identity a secret, not wanting to use her magic before they all found out she was a witch.
8. The Gorilla God's Go-To Girl: Another rom-com, almost like an otome game, or how the female first enters a male school. It's about Sophia, who chose and gained the power of the Gorilla, which led her to attend the male school to become a knight. But when she struggled with her gorilla god power, she had a crush on Louis and met her new friends, Isaac and Eddy.
9. ZatsuTabi -That's Journey—is a slice-of-life and travel anime about Chika, an inspiring manga artist who goes on a journey throughout Japan based on her debate posts to get a better idea of her manga since she keeps turning in her drafts but keeps rejecting them.

A curse that states Meg will die within one year. But she doesn't want to die, and she wants to stay alive. So Faust told her that she must collect lots of tears of joy to break her curse.
11. Catch Me at the Ballpark! These three or four short series focus on the employees who work at the ballpark and regular customers who come to the baseball game to see their team, the Motorsuns. It was a funny one, but sometimes drama involving their past lives.
12. Teogania: This is a survival and a little bit of an isekai series about a boy named Kai who joins to fight and defend all the villagers he knows. But every time he got hurt, he got a bit of memory about being in another life.
13. The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold to Another Kingdom: This fantasy anime follows two saints, Phillia and Mia, who perform saintly duties to save the kingdoms from monsters. One day, Phillia was going to marry the prince named Julius. But he decided to call it off and made her move to another kingdom where Prince Oswalt lived. Desperately saving another kingdom, she has been practicing new magic along with her new students to build a new dome to protect the whole kingdom of the continent, including her sister's kingdom.
14. The Shiunji Family Children: This coming-of-age series is about siblings who live in a mansion in Tokyo, going about their everyday lives, until one night when they celebrate their sister's birthday. The father announced that they were no longer siblings, which caused them confusion and made them unsure why they were no longer considered siblings. It turns out they're adopted even though they're not part of the father's blood. This is like a harem where the sisters love their big brother, even though they're no longer siblings.

24. Food for the Soul: This slice-of-life series is about college girls who run a club based on their passion for food.
25. The Unaware Ateiler Meister: This fantasy series is about a boy named Kurt. A kind boy who got kicked out due to his uselessness. However, he possesses a remarkable talent for utilizing magic to craft weapons and enhance his combat skills.

Magical Loveable Mood for Watching Pretty Cure Series
Anime Relations: Smile Precure!, Dokidoki! Precure, Healin' Good♡Precure, Tropical-Rouge! Precure, Delicious Party♡Precure, Kimi to Idol Precure♪
Well, February has already come this year, but this month, I'm in the magical mood to watch another kind of anime I like. I like Magical Girls and the series Pretty Cure. It's a great series about girls magically transforming into beautiful outfits with colorful hairstyles and battling monsters from the villainess gang. It was also a cute and funny show that made me and everyone of all ages laugh at it.
The first Pretty Cure I remember watching as a teen almost adult is Glitter Force on Netflix, which apparently is the English Dub of Smile Pretty Cure—followed by Glitter Force Doki Doki, aka Doki Doki Pretty Cure!
After watching this on Netflix, I realized that many Pretty Cure series are released in Japan every year from February to January of the following year.
So, I started watching the Pretty Cure series on Crunchyroll, and the show I watched during the pandemic was Healin Good Pretty Cure.
I thought this almost take a long time to finish until I was able to finish the rest of the series by December 2023 with my new laptop that I got for Christmas.
I still hadn't watched the Pretty Cure series until last month. I had watched the 2021-2022 Pretty Cure series, Tropical-Rouge Pretty Cure.
Now, just as February came, I started the new series of Pretty Cure, You, and Idol Pretty Cure, which came out today on Crunchyroll. This year's theme is idols and music. I have recently watched the first episode, but I want to see more, which means I have to wait until next Sunday for the rest of 2025.
So, I decided to binge-watch the other Pretty Cure series while I waited for the new one. The show that I'm now watching is Delicious Party, Pretty Cure which aired from February 2022 til January 2023.
So this is why I'm in the magical mood of watching Magical Girls anime mostly now Pretty Cure.
What about you? Are you a Magical Girls anime fan? Do you like Pretty Cure or any other magical girls-related anime series?

19. Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms: This rom-com anime is about Mona Kawai, a cute and popular girl in high school. Everyone loves her. But when the new student, Medaka Kuroiwa, transfers here, Mona falls in love with him. So she tries to flirt and see if he can flirt back at her just like everyone else, but unfortunately, he ignores her, which causes Mona to feel mad. All because he was training not to flirt with any girls in the school. But Mona won't give up on herself to ensure Medaka loves her.
20. Momentary Lilly: This action anime is about girls fighting against robots that vanish the whole life of the planet except the girls who survived the invasion. The girls only hang out with each other and talk about cooking. So, with both friendship and memories, they can fight against robots.
