10 - The line between 9's and 10's is quite blurry, since I have the feeling I love them all the same and believe that no show can really be perfect, but in the end giving 10's mostly depends on my enthusiasm about the show as a whole.
9 - If it's a currently airing show, you can bet it will get at least a 9 from me if some day of the week gets turned into "[insert name of the anime] Friday/Saturday/any day of the week it gets aired on". Which basically means I'm borderline obsessed with it. If it has already ended, a show deserving of a 9 is a series that I marathoned and for which I would kill for more.
8 - Very enjoyable. Not a masterpiece per se, but did a great job at keeping me entertained. Usually those shows could have earned a 9 but didn't manage to get me to start actually loving the characters instead of just liking them, which is almost always what makes me bump a series to a higher grade; either that or they did manage to do it, but the show was too short and/or didn't develop as much as I would have wanted it to. Shows that I rate an 8 or higher are series that I would gladly watch again in the future.
7 - A normal, good, enjoyable anime. Nothing more but nothing less. A show whose universe, story and characters I feel pretty neutral about, meaning I'm not particularly passionate about them at least not as much as for higher-rated shows, but that doesn't change the fact that I somewhat had fun watching it.
6 - Something that had potential but didn't live up to my expectations. Either that or it just didn't pull me in at all.
5 - Venturing into the "bad" territory here. Overall, a show that really felt like a waste of time.
4 - Really bad. I want the hours of my life that I wasted watching this back. [i]Now[/i].
3 - Utter crap. I might get the urge to puke at the mention of a show that I rated as such.

1 - Nobody should ever go through the torture of watching anything that deserves such a rating all the way through. Something really that bad should be dropped after the first episode, if not less.
