It genuinely fucking pains me to drop this game as a day one player, but I'm finally fucking fed up playing this. What finally cracked me for the first time in any gacha game was power creep and the shitty rates, besides from the meh tower defense mechanic that I didn't mind cus i could use guides, even still the gameplay for me got more and more tedious as I played, just turning into stall knights in the higher stages. I play for waifus first, meta second. If the waifu i'm aiming for just happens to be meta then hay two for one, I mean it can apparent by my list being made of mostly female characters. AK got to a point for me where I had E2 max skilled all my 6* operators and the 5* and lower operators i thought looked cool, were waifus or were essential in teams, my time playing the game essentially boiled down to load up game do base, do either RHD or chose what ever MAT i had lowest off, turn on my macro and do something else. Events were just watch a guide and try not to mald to hard until EX and challenge stages. My roster contained arguably some meta characters like Silver Ash, Blaze, carnelian, Mudrock, chen, mountain, Kal'tsit, Skadi, Skadi Alter but the characters that i've some how managed to dodge since their release for months are Thorns Surtr and the infamous Swimsuit Chen. Due to the honestly painful rates and almost no pity for non limited characters, i managed to not have these characters for months. Arguably yes my roster is still stacked so i survived for a couple months, but then power creep and it wasn't until the near light event did it hit me how fucking stupid power creep is. When my almost full 6* team can't clear challenge stages cus its missing one vital unit (HAHAHAH of course its Swimsuit chen) you know i'm either close to brain dead or that power creep is that bad, and for reference, Swimsuit chen when she released was a must have, FGO Castoria levels of you want and need this unit. Relating to the shite rate ups, guess who came up instead of chen alter when i rolled? I got 2 mizuki's who i will never use cus i have 6* and 5* units who do there job anyway and literally is my only unleveled 6* purely out of spite and is the reason why i wish AK would add a "sell unit" button so i can dump his ass. To end this i do love AK, the story is fantastic, the characters and design and so unique and the OSTs for events are some of the best i've ever heard and I still have many saved in my playlist. Its just annoying that the shit rates and the stupid fucking power creep is what made me hate playing the game. Once I drop a game I don't usually come back to it due to FOMO and feeling behind on everything (thanks Destiny 2 for creating an irrational fear of permeant FOMO when ever i think about dropping a game now0 but maybe by some miracle i might.

Don't get me wrong I have nothing against Honkai at all, if anything I wish I could play it daily, however joining so late even playing for a few months I did still feel overwhelmed and confused on what to do at times. The game also had a lot to do for dailies and weeklies that I could not keep up with along side all the other games I'm playing, again nothing personal just wish I had more time.

Dropped cus of burn out and got bored of it. Day one player here, good things to note about the game is the dailies were reasonably fast and gems were semi easy to get. Cons are honestly more of a subjective thing but, games that do "SSR or 5* units start out as 3* when you first get them, pull more of the same character to max them to 5*" I don't like cus it feels like it takes the rarity of the characters away, also makes the game more grindy. Also didn't help that imo the drop rates for limited banner characters was shite and the hard pity was way to high (I'm still mad I saved for 6 months and didn't get my Christina on her first banner drop). The gameplay also got stale with it becoming an "afk, side scroller, 2D, Chibi" game where I could almost brute force any stage with a team of 4 front units and a mid/back unit. Also pvp in the game was shit, but thats mostly standard for any gacha game.
