Me being very bored atm just started going through my list and i noticed all the movies and thought of creating a blog about the ones that hit me the hardest.
So yeah thats what I’m doing now! I’m not really sure if this is interesting to anyone but tbh I’m doing it for myself :)
They’re ranked on how bad i cried to them and since i haven’t watched that many movies (around 60) the following ones are probably very basic but THEY STILL PUNCHED ME IN THE FACE idk.
If anyone has some better recommendations, hmu!

And its also very badly written pls don’t judge!

Starting with Drifting Home
This is a movie to which i only ALMOST cried to.
Generally i really loved the atmosphere and art and everything was very beautiful. Also the topic of letting go of ones past was very pretty to me. AND AT THAT POINT I WAS VERY MUCH AT THE URGE OF TEARS AARAE
Also on the way the water sometimes hit hard cuz I’m kinda scared of drowning haha

next up we have Made in Abyss: Dawn of the deep soul
I WAS WATCHING THIS ON FULLSCREEN IN THE CINEMA AND HELP I TEARED UP SO OFTEN BUT BCS OF PUBLI WAS HOLDING IT TOGETHER BUT LIKE THE MUSIC AND THE SCENERY AND OMGGGG ITS SO BEAUTIFUL

Maquia
Don’t quite remember everything or rather at which part i cried but i know it hit very hard. Generally the movie and story was BREATHTAKING AHHH and i loved the mc so much :,) AH I REMEMBER HER SON- IT WAS SO PAINFUL AHHH LITERALLY I REMEMBER EVERYTHING THE MOVIE BROKE ME

I want to eat your pancreas
This one punched me in the face so fucking bad, i wasn’t expecting that at all but omg it hurt so bad like aaahh.
I remember reading somewhere about the movie hitting hard as a truck and me being a naive bitchboy was like: bet.


Violet Evergarden: The movie
Even though the two mentioned above were worse enough already… IT’S STILL GETTING WORSE. I always thought Violet Evergarden had a very beautiful scenery and atmosphere and i loved violet and everything. And when i heard of the new release i was very hyped, so i instantly watched it IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT EVEN THOUGH I HAD TO GET UP EARLY THE NEXT DAY.
If you don’t like the pairing of Violet and that soldier then this movie probably doesn’t make you cry that much or at all or idk. But i didn’t have anything against them so i just went with it. This movie was 2 hours long. After the first hour i was no fucking joke constantly crying. Every time i thought it was over THAT FUCKING MOVIE PUNCHED ME AGAIN. Yeah at the end i had the biggest fucking headache and was spamming a friend sooo bad

AND LASTLY THE BIGGEST PAIN RIDE YOUR WAVE
ICWSBBHIWCDBHW NO. THIS MOVIE BROKE ME.
I WASN’T ONLY CRYING WHILE WATCHING, I WAS FUCKING CRYING MYSELF TO SLEEP AFTER FINISHING IT SINCE I HAD TO THINK ABOUT IT THE WHOLE TIME. EVEN THE NEXT DAY I STILL WAS TEAING WHEN THINKING OF IT. THAT FUCKING MOVIE HURT SO BAD HOLY SHIT I HAD THE BIGGEST HEADACHE. AND NOW WRITING THIS AND THINKING ABOUT IT MAKES ME TEAR UP I CANT FUCKING DEAL WITH

Anyway this is it for the list! I hope u enjoyed and again, it’s mainly written for my own satisfaction so please don’t judge my opinions or how i went about writing. I would love to hear your opinions though!

i cried while reading the manga, Generally i loved the manga so much but bcs of that i knew what was coming in the movie and i was prepared for crying but it didn’t hit as hard as in the manga.
