Black Heart Redemption
Black Heart Redemption
My name ist Terra.
I hath committed many heinous acts
Though I look it not, people see me a chimera
People think I hold Death’s icy axe
I hath murdered mine mother and her lover in their bed
Rivers of blood flowed from their limbs
No tears had I shed
Oblivious of the scene villagers sang their hymns
I ran amok setting fire to houses
Fulfilling some unknown need
Violently separating spouses
Watching them, with dead eyes, burn and bleed
I hung men of uncared birth
Slicing their bellies letting their guts fall to the floor
Their feet never again touching earth
Letting others, my acts, abhor
I killed kings and paupers alike
Just so I could survive
The feel of mine blade, upon bone, strike
These demises ever to contrive
My hands are forever dyed scarlet
Yet now I look back with guilt
Some rumored me to be a harlot
Though no seed, in me, had they spilt
A bright light surrounds me
For the first time in mine life, I am scared
Who can this be?
Could this be the earth’s laird?
“My child, ye hath strayed from me.
Amidst thy crimes I hath loved thine own.
Please return to me.
Claim thy place at my right hand on the throne.”
I cannot, but yet I cannot resist
My soul arises, upward to Heaven
Mine body disappears in the holy mist
My sword clattering to the landscape barren
My name ist Terra
I hath committed many heinous acts
Though I look it not, people see me a chimera
People think I hold Death’s icy axe
