Angel and Isla are very similar. Both involve a futuristic setting where androids are a common commodity. One involves androids with an expiration date whereas the other involves an outdated android.

In Chobits, the main male character finds a persocom that has been thrown away. Similarly in Kowarekake no Orgel, there is a male character who finds an android that looks like a human. The persocom and the android are child-like so the male characters watch over them with care.

In both shows, androids exist for similar purposes: to help their owners with cleaning, shopping, etc. However, the human characters and the androids have interactions that goes far beyond that of simple owners and robots. Some androids have human-like qualities that blurs the line between humans and androids which is something eminent in both shows.

A show that is very much emotional and heartfelt as the other.

Both are movie with short duration of time. The way story told is very similar. Start with a scene that happened in the middle of story, then go back to the beginning if the story. The story continues telling how the main characters get closer spending the time together until something major happened to them. However, Hotarubi no Mori e has clearer ending and better emotion lifting scene.

The atmosphere of both anime are utterly the same. The sense of a father figure with both heroines being very young, innocent, and pure. Heart warming anime with moral of goodness inside this world. If you like one of these anime, there is no way will not like the other.

Both are heart warming stories that deal with the daily lives of teenagers and an occurring supernatural event. There is a ghost only one person can see. The characters need to get over the death of the ghost to move on.

Both main girl is serving the main guy cause the main guy is the one that find her and let her stay at his house. Both of this anime is that the main girl will do anything for his master. one of them want to be a part of his family like brother/sister while the other one is that the girl want to marry his master. The difference between these two. One is a serious sci fi drama that make you cry in the end while the other one is a supernatural, comedy, harem, drama with action.

Humanoid robots want to be as useful as possible to their owner(s). Both heroines end up on a similar fate. However, Azusa plays like a Comedy/Slice of Life anime, whereas Orgel focuses more on the coming-of-age part.

Same kind of thing, but Orgel's a little longer. Someone finds a cute little loli thing and takes care of it for a bit before it poops out on them.

- Heavy emotional involvement - Involve watching someone slip away right before your eyes - Touching character interactions - Good character development (which Kowarekake no Orgel amazingly manages to do in 30 minutes) - Moe - Tugs on your heart strings - Great music, including some tracks with powerful vocals In reality, Kowarekake no Orgel is good if you're a fan of ANY of Key's works, but it's most similar to Air in terms of plot.

The main girls, Flower and Ika Musume are really simular. If you like one main character, you will probably like the other too. But Kowarekake is more serious then ika musume.

Higehiro and Kowarekake no Orgel share a similar premise in which an adult stumbles upon someone needing help and decides to invite them into their homes. By living together, both characters end up helping each being better persons. Higehiro features an adult and runaway high school girl. There are some romantic undertones between both characters, which may not please some viewers. Kowarekake no Orgel features an adult and an android who have a parent-child relationship. Neither show are the best version of this type of story, but if you're looking for more then you'll be satisfied.

Similar buildup of main characters... both series deal with human and humanoids, both gives feels. If you like simple story with decent depth, give both series (OVAs) a shot.

they are the same because both the main character girls aren't a human. both of their personality are the same. the main guy character in both anime both aren't able to move on from the past until the main character girl came and changed them, and helped them move on. both a very happy warm anime ^___^) i love these two animes so much.
