If you are a fan of Gundam Wing you may not like this review.
Am going too, go ahead and judge Gundam Wing for what it is and not the base of nostalgia love that I use too, have.
Also, keeps this in mind I was one of those kids whom grew up with Wing and loved it. Also, I didn’t complete the series when I was a kid because at the time period Gundam Wing was slowly disappearing out of Cartoon Network along with Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop so I never finished the show back then but for what I saw in Gundam Wing ...

At best it is forgettably mediocre and at worst so hilariously bad it's somehow entertaining.

There is not a single character I liked, all of them are either forgettable or extremely shallow and painful to watch. All but one of the main pilots are some kind of edge lord that only a 13-year-old would think is cool because if they were one of them they could tell their stepdad Terry to shut up. Going from left to right, Trowa is your emo sad boi with like two feet of hair in front of his face, he least edgy of the edge lords but still ...

I loved this as a kid, so I figured it would be nice to check back in on this. That was a bad idea. The story telling and dialogue are insanely clunky and all over the place. Which is a shame, because there are some nice ideas that peak out throughout the series: how does war affect soldiers, how can true lasting peace be obtained, what is the nature of human kind, etc. This is to be expected of a Gundam show, it's always come for the cool robots stay for the political and personal intrigue. And the Gundams are still cool, make no mistake. ...
