A clear inspiration from Nausicaa's worldbuilding by Hayao Miyazaki. Civilization is lost as we used to know and only a few populations are remaining. Nature has recover its hegemony in the planet and extends freely. Humanity's resources are running out and life is arduous. A legend about a promised savior. A big Empire tries to dominate lesser kingdoms for its own benefit. Even the outfits are quite similar.

In both, there is a boy and girl, one more close to nature than the other. In both, the world is in crisis. In both, there is an evil empire that want to monopolize all, with strange machinery. In a sense, the vibe is really similar here, and there is a sense of discovery. And ofc, good music. Should really check this one if you liked Agito :)

Kaina of the Great Snow Sea and Fena: Pirate Princess are adventure series centered on a quest to pursue a legend. The lead female characters are damsel in distress, but Liliha (Kaina of the Great Snow Sea) has the inner strength and courage to pursue her conviction despite her moment of helplessness. Fena, on the other hand, is easily swept from one conflict into another without controlling her own fate. Both series have their problems, but they do have positive aspects and can satisfy anyone who likes an adventure.

Kaina of the Great Snow Sea and Giant Beasts of Ars are female-led adventure series involving young girls who are pursued by generic military antagonists. A good adventure series will have engage viewers with its world building. Kaina of the Great Snow Sea succeeds more in this respect than Giant Beasts of Ars, which has an interesting world that feels underdeveloped. How much you enjoy the series will depend on whether you become invested with the main characters.

Kaina of the Great Snow Sea and Castle in the Sky have similar storylines involving a damsel in distress who encounters their capable romantic interest while being pursued by the antagonists. Sheeta (Castle in the Sky) gradually finds her inner strength and becomes a strong female character. Liliha (Kaina of the Great Snow Sea) always had inner strength and courage to pursue her conviction despite her moment of helplessness through the series. Castle in the Sky is a very good, family-friendly adventure anime with good rewatchability. Kaina of the Great Snow Sea has interesting worldbuilding, but the script could be better.
