These anime feature the same characters, but with a completely different setting and plot. If you love Minekura, Kazuya works, then do yourself a favor and watch both. 

They give us the same vib. There also about 2 guys that are always together and fight together they also have a boy love( shounen ai) element 

Both created by Kazuya Minekura Araiso and Saiyuki are both clever, full of male-male innuendo's and complete with intricate lovable characters. They are fun and touching and action packed.
