Ling Jian Zun

Going to be straightforward; the main character was quite pathetic throughout the series. I watched this anime to get rid of my boredom, but I was slapped in the face instead. I thought I would get a jaw-dropping series based on what people told me, but I guess you can't trust everyone's words. What I watched out of all 240 episodes was disappointing. I expected a whole lot based on the reviews I was sent but instead, I want to go back in time and never read what people sent me about this anime.

I hope that whoever made this anime gets ... better when writing a storyline because this storyline made no sense.

I completed the first season just because I had already downloaded it, but god knows how many times I stopped and was tempted to delete everything.
I'll name the biggest elephant in the room: the animation is SO BAD, so truly, deeply, profoundly BAD.
Characters move like they are drunk, eyes are looking nowhere, camera movement is shaky and makes me feel nauseous.
The fights are ridiculous, and are 50% of the whole thing.
Then there's 30% of cultivation delusional blahblah, and 20% of pure boredom.
I honestly can't find one single thing to praise here.
I had my fair share of cultivation manhua and donghua and this is not the ... worst but it's definitely in the "very bad" group.
My rating is a 3. Even in my most generous day I would never give this crap more than a 4.

Calling it bad would be an understatement.

The story is all bs.
The animation is a disaster.
The main character is incompetent, even with a second chance at life. As per the convenience of the author, the MC shows unparalleled skills thanks to his reincarnation, whereas most of the times he acts as a buffoon where even an idiot could handle the situation better.
Most of the plot seems 'borrowed' from other sources, and without their context, they make no sense.
The voice acting is uneven. At times the MC's voice gets self-loathing while his actions say otherwise, which gets irritating at times.

My biggest regret is not heeding @Anzoner's ... review.
It doesn't deserve my time and effort to write a detailed review.

P.S. I generally hold the source material in higher regard than its adaptations, but no matter how I view it, the author seems to lack the skill to create anything original. Additionally, to extend the storyline, they rely on whatever random ideas come to mind.
