Kobayashi-san Chi no OO Dragon

♡ I'll review the Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon Specials from my point of view so, please enjoy!

STORY: 7 (good)* The story was fitting for the specials of the TV series, it brought joy and enjoyment, at the same time reviving some good memories from the parent story.
ART: 10 (outstanding)* The perfect score is rightfully deserved, as expected from the studio, Kyoto Animations. I may dare to say that the art in this anime is a big part of why you ... would want to add it to your collection.
SOUND: 7 (good)* I will comment mostly about the voice actors, as there is little to no music, apart from the ED which is simple and nice. First of all, Kanna's voice is the one I love the most, Maria Naganawa does a great job even with little experience. Second of all, Tooru's voice is well executed and on point, complimenting Kobayashi's, which fits the character very well.
CHARACTER: 9 (great)* The characters are really cliché, but unique and enjoyable in their own way. We got the average gal that works a lot, maid that is in love with her master, cute loli, and not lastly a clumsy overly-affectionate hottie ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).
OVERALL: good to very good* I think this specials are really nice if you like an easy-going, heart-warming and light-hearted anime.

I left the ENJOYMENT: 10 (♡)* part at last because I think this one really depends on the person. In this review I tried to be as objective as possible, but I really can't help but give a perfect ten to the enjoyment. This type of anime, really calms me down and makes me stop for a moment to just enjoy the beautiful simplicity of life.

Short Videos of cute situations that your loveable cast are in. The format would be a character brings up a topic and they will do periodic skits of that topic(this may not be true for all episode). For example (not in this special) someone would bring up clothing, then the others will wear different clothing, like clothing from the 60s, 70s, 20s and they will talk in between. They also have this recurring joke where Lucoa would end up being censored and taken off because she would be nude. Not the most funnest gag. But It's a quick fix when you're longing for Miss Kobayashi ... season 2. Doesn't affect the story, but still recommended it.

After watching the first episode. It really made me gleam with joy! As in per introduction that it was filled by "OO"'s standing for "something", both Tooru and Kanna try to replace the "OO"'s with random ideas, in which they try to re-enact it. The only thing what I would recommend for this series to improve is more characters, because we are missing out some. It may give us a comedic effect! And also to give what the original series gave us as being comedic, for example the pixelated objects (That is either inappropriate or not-to-be-seen stuff) which actually gives curiosity to the viewers, but ... also giving them a laugh of a life-time.

If you're into Dragonmaid or even just silly shorts, Kobayashi-san Chi no OO Dragon is for you. With quick sketch comedy and the characters in cute outfits or funny situations, this appeals to anybody who loves the characters. With a similar punch to a 4-koma with the lovable characters of the main series, you're missing out if you don't watch these few short episodes that give you a taste of more fun with the dragons. Tohru obsesses over Kobayashi, Kanna has no idea how things work in a cute way, Lucoa gets her boobs out, Elma is hungry, and Fafnir is edgy. Although much of ... the shorts has more chibi animation, the outfits are panned across in the show's more polished usual artstyle, comparable to the quality of proper promotional material. Highly recommend.

A mix-mash of random comedic scenarios involving the Kobiyashi cast. Some of the scenarios are funny, some not as much, will really depend on the viewer. But hey, it's only twenty minutes so might as well give it a shot.

The skits feature a lot of character-targeted comedy, focusing on Tooru, Kanna and Quetzalcoatl, with cameos from some of the others. The characters follow their stereotypes to a T, and the chibi artstyle works well with the animation to give the characters some the dynamic energy the original series had. It's worth a watch if you're looking for more Dragon Maid but certainly not essential.
