I love both of these anime's because they both made me laugh with the characters antics and cheer them on during hardship! Following the stories of this anime made me anxious to know what would happen next and like with all good anime's I had to stop myself from watching the entire thing in 1 day. Both anime's are part of the genres Shounen Ai , Romance and Drama. Both anime's tell a brilliant story that will surely interest you so if you found Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu (I'm being harassed by the sexiest man of the year) or Hitorijime My Hero (My Very Own Hero)  read more

Both of these Shounen Ai anime have a high school setting and there are instances of power imbalances in the relationships they feature. Perhaps Doukyuusei is a more refined portrayal of a coming-of-age high school romance, whereas Hitorijime My Hero takes on the more humorous and cliche approach. They both tackle the same type of story in different ways.

- Both anime have an age gap between the main(?) love interests - Both are romance anime and are often located in school - Both anime have the fact that the older love interest is the sibling of the best friend of the younger love interest - Both anime have their friend/sibling that really supports the age gap relationship They honestly gave me really similar vibes to each other when I started watching Koikimo. Hitoijime my hero is about two BL relationships and Koikimo is about a single straight relationship, but they still really give off similar vibes to me. I highly recommend them both!

Banana Fish is not a shounen-ai, but Hitorijime My Hero is. They both include gang-society into their plots, but the relationship between the two main characters is in focus. Since Hitorijime My Hero is both a shounen-ai and a lot more "friendly", you get more fluff and cutesy stuff than in Banana Fish.

- GAY (Hitorijime has two couples) - The first set of couples[C1] meet in school, then the blondie move back to join high school together - The second set of couples[C2] has a age gap, the younger one feels like he isn't worth it - [C2] The older guy pushes him away just like Shun did to Mio, with the younger guy being young and possessive Plus all of the episodes they made is in both sub and dub

BLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBL I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS. It always keeps you on your toes and it just...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think there is a manga for this and also another one which describes another couple involved. Both are manga, however. Just to clear things up- there is a manga for Hitorijime My Hero AND a manga for Hitorijime My Boyfriend. Hitorijime My Boyfriend, however, does not have its own anime. Believe I have searched. If you do find it then please tell me.

If you love yaoi, you will love Hitorijime and Love Stage! Both have great stories and great couples and they have a great manga too for each of them if you're interested in that.....

A classic boys love anime with two lovers at different points in there lives and in this case careers. Like Hitorijime My Hero there is a good mix of laughter and emotion for the characters and the viewer another must watch for any fujoshi

- unrequited/unknown love with the "new" teacher, who is a childhood friend or something like that - main character is straight (or says that at least), but also has feelings for people with the same gender (more or less actually) - everyone is kinda edgy and envious

While watching a beautiful shounen-ai anime I'm always reminded of the most amazing anime I've watched, Yuri On Ice is one of those animes. Hitorijime My Hero touched my heart and so did Yuri On Ice. Both animes are sincere and have earned great respect from me so much that if a character were to cry, I would 100% cry aswell. Not many animes find their way into my heart because they don't have the emotional explosions that can make you smile or even cry but these two definitely do. If you wish for something similar or are looking for more of that BL goodness full of  read more

Both of these animes are yaoi, and deal with some of the same issues. Age difference, family issues... they both have great characters and plot and they are my top favorite yaoi animes!!
