Sometimes you're feeling down or just need something calming and healing after a tiring day or a tear-jerking drama. This list has the must-watch slice of life animes great for healing or just beautiful life lessons.

Shoujo--like all demographics--is incredibly varied, featuring a wide mix of stories, genres and themes. Its protagonists are no exception, with different personalities and backgrounds, and having both girls and guys in leading roles. I wanted to highlight some shoujo anime written from a male POV.

Also, I can't attest to the quality of the lower/more obscure series on here (especially since shoujo manga tend to receive pretty trash adaptations). So do keep that in mind.


And I should clarify that Cowboy Bebop and Code Geass are both actually original anime that simply have shoujo manga versions. They both had promotional shoujo manga that began running a few months before their respective anime began airing.
