Created both by Masami Kurumada. Both comprising of wild sideburns, heavy punches, impulsive main characters, shiny armors, effeminate characters and references to mythology.

Old school shounen in which an evil empire/dynasty threatens the world, and a noble-hearted hero forms bonds with a team of legendary warriors to defeat them using special super techniques. Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors) has mystical armor whereas B'TX has robotic animal companions, but they both have fight-scene focused plots supported by casts of 80s/90s stereotypes. Both pair well with popcorn and Saint Seiya.

its a matter of storytelling and execution. B'tx is a better youngsters and mecha show than the mediocre modern gadguard serie. Both deals with young teens wich life are changing with their mecha discovery, and then the overly stereotypical gadguard chara with ' I don't want to go with you' wich turns a complete 540 degrees in a microsecond, Bt'x has less that kind of problems

Both heavily feature combat sequences, and both have animal-like robots, as well as having the same basic 'Good Versus Evil' plot.
