My list for someone wanting to start Anime.
The list includes short to long anime series with varying genres. There is no ranking. It should have something for most beginners wanting to start or branch out into different genres of anime. It also only lists the first or whole series of an anime.

A curated list of short and long anime series spanning various genres and settings for beginners to explore and enjoy.

Anime where the main character is a contract killer, assassin, hired mercenary, hitman etc. These series vary in their story although many are OPMC series there are some anime in this list that are more light-hearted or though provoking.

One of the biggest critiques of anime as a medium is that it feels that there is a limited space for girls, shows/characters that cater to us. It's easy to say "WHAT ABOUT SHOUJO" but you know that's not everyone's cup of tea. Really puts it into perspective when you see that there are only like, 100 josei anime listed on this site.

So, here's my take on the "Female Gaze" anime trend. Some of my criteria includes:

-Written by a woman
-Well written female characters, of course!
-Attractive men AND women (causes there's girls who like both!)
-Engaging romance and action

Anime where the main character is a teacher that teaches a class of students. Fairly simple premise but it spans across different disciplines, not just modern day high school teachers.

A collection of anime that you might not have known have a live action version.

Series that involve assassins/assassinations.
