Maou Dante

Pretty good for an older anime. Story has creepy elements similiar to Doomed Megalopolis and Devilman. Action is good at times. Violence is fairly well done, although not too gorey. Odd concept is what comes to my mind when I think of this one and that is why I didn't resell it. Kinda boring in parts and whole story would have been better if it only had 9 or 10 episodes.

Demon Lord Dante has both positive and negative aspects that may not appeal to many viewers. Fans of Devilman may find similarities with Demon Lord Dante, but the latter is less violent.

The story is the strongest aspect of Demon Lord Dante, but the pacing can be sluggish at the beginning. The plot twists are surprising and captivating, but the final episode is underwhelming. The addition of a romantic subplot was unnecessary, but it was still interesting. I was rooting for Medusa! The final fight scene was illogical and reminiscent of a Power Rangers battle, but it was amusing to watch nonetheless.

Demon Lord Dante delves into ... the notion of good versus evil and human relationships. The protagonist, Ryo, undergoes interesting character development, but most of the supporting characters are one-dimensional. The animation is decent, but the effects used occasionally are unappealing. The monster and character designs are the highlights of the series. The soundtracks are forgettable.

Overall, Demon Lord Dante is recommended for fans of gore and Devilman but not for those who are sensitive to violence or have strong religious beliefs. I enjoyed this show more than Devilman.

The story pretty much holds this Anime together. Its a good story that i found interesting and hooked me enough to watch all of it 2 sittings. Thats not to say its not without its flaws. Its definitely a budget Anime and the Animation is pretty bad. The art style for the time isnt that bad its just taht the animation was cheaply done.

The music is mediocre, and the Voice acting is kind of bad. I've heard far worse and its tolerable but its definitely not good. The dialogue is also not the best. Im not sure if it because of the translation or ... what.

Characters are just ok.

For a budget anime based on a 1970s Manga its not bad in the end. Its just ok in the end. The story was original and entertaining and is what holds it up. This probably isnt going to go on any one's favorites list but if you are looking for a good story Demon Lord Dante has at least that for you.
