I am loving this series and has quickly become one of my favorites since I picked up 2199 in 2017. Disclaimer, I have not watched the original Yamato seasons and have only seen the modern rendition of the series.
After the events of 2202, Earth is recovering from its battle against Gatlantis and the planet Gamilas is dying. Although it can be rough around the edges at times, the manga is a pleasure to read. I can't really put it into words. I would recommend you give it a shot and I promise you it is likely you will get hooked.
Legosi is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters of all time. The character dynamics are solid and there is not a character that I go "ugh not them" while reading. Just a very solid character-driven story with an author I never heard of. She is doing a great job with this series! Overall a great manga and definitely worth picking up. |
