This season was a bit of let down to me, especially after how much I liked the first season.
First of all, the show managed to make two generally likable characters (keith and geordo) absolutely insufferable, especially the later. With Keith it's just kind of creepy cause she clearly sees him as a brother and nothing else, but not only does Geordo have no sense of boundaries, his character is so bland and two dimensional he makes Nicol seem interesting. The way he kept kissing her without her consent was just gross.

take this route but I honestly didn't think it'd be as bad as it was. I wish Maria had gotten even 1/4th of that screentime, as she was the most appealing love interest imo and unlike all the others, she seemed to respect Catarina's pace a lot more instead of forcing herself onto her like everyone else did. At least with Mary it was played up as comedy but they really expected us to swoon with Geordo's bullshit and i was NOT having it.
The comedy in general wasn't as funny as the previous season's either BUT the ending was extremely funny, so i'll give them that.

The return of Kobayashi's Dragon Maid has a weak beginning but manages to regain its footing and end as strongly as the previous season.
The story was definitely in particular started out quite roughly, especially with that very questionable second episode and just too much Lucoa for comfort, not just that but a second character existing solely to for bouncy boobie-esque fanservice gets added, reducing the show's appeal significantly. Thankfully by the second half of the show, our main three come back to the show's forefront (Kanna centered episodes are akways a delight) and Tohru's relationship with Elma is explored further as well as Tohru's

past, her perception of humans as it evolved throughout her life and how it eventually led her to Kobayashi.
What I like about this show is how our main characters are able to develop without the show losing its heartwarming, SOL-sort of feel, which is honestly quite rare as media often seems make us believe they have to choose. I found myself laughing at Tohru's same insane antics while marveling at how much her character had grown in just two seasons.
In terms of overall quality, KyoAni has never disappointed me, specifically in terms of art and sound, it really doesn't get any better than that, it's funny to see a dumb show about a dragon maid with insane animated fights but here we are. Voice acting's good too. Honestly, my only complaint would be two specific subplots I didn't really care for but they both happened in the first 6 episodes.
All in all, definitely worth watching. I give it an 8/10

Just good dumb fun all the way
To be honest, I've never gotten why the harem genre or the isekai genre are so popular, i've never found it interesting, amusing or even desirable. Chances are I will never find another one i'll like again but god, did I enjoy watching this show!
It's like they took everything that made the harem genre despicable and made a parody of it (which is insane considering the harem genre doesn't even take itself seriously to begin with).
I think it was the mix of:
1) having a female protagonist
2) the way that she never favored any of them/remained clueless 'till the

very end 3) ofc the fact that the other women weren't here as love rivals for the protagonist but as other love interest
I dislike the romance genre but I legitimately found myself rooting for Mary.
My only complaint is that I wish the protagonist wasn't THAT nice, it would've been more fun if she was actually kind of bratty and was just friendly for the sake of surviving but that's more a thing of preference so I can't really deduct points because of it.
The only thing I do think they could've done better is that the villain's backstory felt really weak and also did not suit the tone of the story. Either give them a good reason to be a villain with proper foreshadowing and buildup or give us a meme villain with a ridiculous motive like "i'm actually in love with prince alan" or "catarina's black hole of a stomach emptied out the student council's budget", something like that. Instead we got a half baked villain with a story I think we were supposed to take seriously but it was literally impossible to.

I've been a fan of Higurashi for at least a decade, got into it in my very early teens and it was my introduction to the horror genre which I grew to become very passionate about many years later.
Was this show absolutely ridiculous? yes
Was it unnecessary? TOTALLY
Did I enjoy it? ABSOLUTELY
I feel like this cursed season will become a guilty pleasure of mine on the long run.

First of all, I just wanna discuss the realism of it all.
Lesbians really can't just say they like each other, they have to kill each other a thousand times on a bunch of looping timelines to get to the point.
All jokes aside, I feel like people are too harsh on this season. Like, yeah it was dumb and there was that huge plot hole I couldn't not overlook but the violence was *top notch* and we got, objectively, one of the most insane (and hilarious) final boss fights in history. When Satoko slammed rika's head against the school wall from the roof I legitimately giggled.
Honestly? absolutely iconic.

Kinda pissed at myself for dropping it so early on though in my defense it was mostly due to lack of time from my part rather than the quality of the show. As I've grown older, manga has become a much more viable guilty please than anime as it takes up significantly less time and it's easier to read a few chapters in your spare time than finishing an episode. That said, I'm glad I finally got around to watching this.
---STORY 8/10---

between serious episodes and more easygoing episodes. The story isn't too complex and it often feels like your average shounen but I like how it consistently manages to raise some interesting questions about morality v. medical advances, this isn't really exclusive to this season though.
---ART 8/10---
The art isn't anything out of this world but it's not bad either and there were definitely some improvements from the previous seasons. My only complaint is the same complaint I've often had with this and many other anime: unnecessary fanservice shots. Hated it in my teens, hate it now in my 20s. It really ruins the experience for me sometimes but I understand that it's an issue that has more to do with the anime industry than this actual show (also, it felt less heavy on fan service than S so I'll let it slide).
---SOUND 9/10---
I love the railgun soundtrack, they're not songs i'd listen to in my free time but they set the tone for the show perfectly.
---CHARACTERS 10/10---
Here's where this show truly stands out. Not only is it a shounen anime composed of a mainly female cast but the way this season explored other characters' wishes and motivations as well as just giving them cute side-plots was what I loved the most about T.
As usual, Kuroko always manages to make me laugh with her antics but is also a hero to root for when it's needed from her. I'm happy we got to see a *lot* more of her than in the previous seasons, I am eternally grateful and will treasure the amount of screen-time she got. Not just her though, I was so happy to see two of my other favorite characters Kongou Mitsuko and Shokuhou Misaki unravel this season. All three were the obvious MVPs but I wouldn't call Misaka a weak protagonist either, I'm just very biased. The side plot with Saten in the second half was also very sweet.
---ENJOYMENT 10/10---
VERY HIGH
School festival arcs are ALWAYS fun and we got to see a lot of fun combinations I didn't even consider possible.
---OVERALL 9/10---
All in all, the best to aru season of the best to aru show.

Fuck... I don't know how I feel about it. I really did not like the last 6 volumes but I loved the ending, though not enough to fully overlook it.
The emotional side of me wants to give it 10/10 but the rational side of me acknowledges the story was far from perfect for several reasons so let's break it down.

Up until volume 10, it was a "ten" (pun intended) but then shit got really weird in volume 11 and the story reached its weakest point in volumes 12 to 15 only to bounce back ever so slightly for the final few chapters. Things were all over the place and it was just, not pretty.

While I'm usually a fan of cleaner art styles, like Araki with JJBA's, Ishida's scribbly, chaotic art-style works for Tokyo Ghoul. It really captures the essence of the story and is one of the many reasons the series could not be adapted to anime properly after Kaneki lost his grip after the ending of s1.
Sometimes it was too messy and what was happening wasn't very clear but I don't particularly care for fight scenes because I find them tedious and Ishida's style made it all feel extremely dynamic.
It WORKS.
----Characters---

Objectively the weakest part of this manga. I had so many character related issues
1) Amon and Akira were completely forgotten for no reason despite Amon being the other PROTAGONIST. They really did nothing with them afterwards and worse of all, weren't even mentioned in the final chapter despite random characters I didn't even recognize being featured.
2) Character deaths: the mangaka was extremely irresponsible with the lives of the characters throughout the entire series, killing important characters like they were nothing which I understand because the message was that "blood was shed indiscriminately) but it also makes it hard for readers to care about these characters because they're killed off so haphazardly leaving the story empty and forcing Ishida to introduce a shit ton of new characters after every major fight and tbh it made it super hard to keep track and, at one point, I simply stopped caring if they lived or died.
3) This is sort of connected to part 2 but the final fight literally made no sense. We had this super powerful final boss and yet, no one died? I mean, millions died! but none of the important characters did. It was very strange and made me wonder if Ishida realized his mistake (though it was already too late).
4) Touka is so fucking unlikable and her relationship with Kaneki legit grossed me out for some reason. Even Ayato grew on me, but Touka is such a Mary Sue.
Not everything was bad tho
A lot of the characters were colorful and likable and people like Tsukiyama, Yonebayashi and Urie went through huge character development arcs that I personally loved to see. For this, I give it a score of 6. It wasn't bad, but most of it was not particularly good.

The story is extremely enjoyable. Once you start, it's hard to drop it but, as mentioned previously, that little bump in the road that was Vol. 11-15 really made me consider dropping it. I was too close to the finish line to do so, thankfully and the final volume closed the story up nicely.
I also have to give it extra points because the first half of TG:re was a 11/10 in terms of enjoyment.

I guess 8/10 is fair. I'm happy with the story but Akira and Amon got done dirty and I'll never forgive Ishida.

I never wrote an actual review of it when I read the manga last year (?, was it last year? maybe it was earlier this year... I can't remember), but recently I decided to give the anime versions a chance and as expected, my third favorite jojo part did not disappoint.
Diamond wa Kudakenai is a well deserved break our heart deserved after the crying our way through the last few episodes of pt 3, the genre changes from action/adventure to a weird mix of slice of life, dark comedy and fantasy mixed with action but not really (not as much as the other parts at
...
least) and I think it was a welcome change, at least for me. Everything that happened was so inconsequential, like it was just a group of friends with weird powers that try to solve the mystery of a serial killer lurking in their small town seemingly isolated from the rest of the world. It's cute how most of the bad guys sorta join their crew afterwards and in the end, morioh just becomes the same peaceful town it was at the start but now it filled with people with superpowers (and an alien).
I dont know, I feel like my description makes it sound like I didn't like it but I actually love part 4 and while Josuke isn't as good as Joseph, he's definitely a better Jojo than Jotaro. (also his friendship with okuyasu and koichi is so cute)
It's just the same bizarre Jojo you know and love but weirdly wholesome

Story: 5/10
The story isn't anything special. If anything, it felt like a collage of other popular shonen mangas' plots. I couldn't bring myself to really care about the main plotline, i found the villains in particular to be quite uninteresting (i'll go further into it later on). Honestly, it's as generic as it gets in this aspect and there isn't anything wrong with it, there is a HUGE market for generic shounen and every once in a while, I feel like watching things of that sort which is why I managed to finish it without much complaint.

the art. The animation is smooth and appealing and, in general, it reminded me a bit of kyoani's work. Then why is it a 9 and not a 10? because of the source material, mostly. I thought the character design tried too hard to make them seem "different" without losing the bishounen design that drives horny girls into opening their wallets to buy the merch. I mean, it's fine, but all three main guys have essentially the same design (pointy, slim features with spiky hair) and it kinda bothered me.
Sound: 10/10
I thought the soundtrack was solid (though not as memorable as other shonen titans like snk, bnha and kny), I liked the voice acting of all the characters, in particular Nobara's, the VA is a genius.
Characters: 7/10
Like I said previously, the character design for the main characters is really lacking, they essentially just changed the direction of their hair, changed their hair color and gave 2/3 a little "something" to make their eyes look different (covering them or a separate pair that basically just looks like eyelids) and called it a day. The character design for the female characters is even blander but I can forgive that just because of how much I loved Nobara as a character. I absolutely love how she's just here to kick ass and annoy everyone else (except for her beloved Maki). I don't know, I just liked her, and I liked her weird attack style using a hammer and nails, that's pretty cool. Overall, it would've been a 5 but i gave it +2 points exclusively for Nobara. Hope they don't ruin her character later on.
Enjoyment: 8/10
I found it very enjoyable. JJK is just dumb violence and I liked that, it was fun. I definitely didn't have to force myself to finish it like with other shows and I really enjoyed myself while watching it (especially the filler episodes)
Overall: 7/10
It was just good. It wasn't amazing but it wasn't as bad as some people are making it out to be.

Honestly... just wow.
It was SUCH a trip from start to finish. From the beautiful visuals, insane animation, immersive soundtrack and a story that constantly keeps you guessing. I did not expect to enjoy this movie as much as I did.
I have no idea what I just saw, I didn't understand most of it, but that didn't seem to affect my overall enjoyment of the film. If anything, it was a very pleasant confusion, if that makes sense. Throughout the whole movie I kept thinking "I have no clue what's going on, but I LOVE IT!!".
Movies always have nicer animations than series, that's a given,

but I did not expect something that old with THIS quality. My only complaint was how unsynchronized the mouth movements were at times (watched it with its original japanese voice acting), but that's just me being nitpicky.
Overall, definitely do recommend. Please watch it. It's a classic for a reason.

There’s not really much of a story but it doesn’t matter. It’s just good ol’ cgdct and it SUCCEEDS.
It’s a short slice or life manga about a girl in highschool, there is no plot other than that but I don’t really see a need for there to be one.
The art is pretty, the characters are cute and likable, the jokes are funny, my only complaint is that it’s too short but it still deserves to be checked out.
