Did you notice the similarity between Anya's hair and elfen lied?

Since the moment I first saw Anya it reminded me of the girls in elfen lied with superhuman powers. They had pink hair and horns. Anya's hairstyle is like she has horns, it even was mentioned by her classmates. I was wondering if it's official or if anyone else noticed or it's just me.

she's based off a completely different character from another series

yup for Spy x Family other work by the mangaka are also pretty good. but Rengoku no Ashe could've been better if it was a full series

I guess she meant its by the same mangaka and still is newer than elfen lied so eventually even that manga could be inspired by elfen lied. (Just guessing)

Anya’s character design is mostly reusing physical traits his one-shot witch character Ashe from Rengoku no Ashe. Ashe’s design was based off of “a character in some anime who had two witch hats on her head.” If that refers to characters from Elfen Lied, then something has been lost in that translation, although I do see the resemblance between the diclonius horns and Ashe/Anya’s hair-things. I’m interested in whether anyone knows what character he’s talking about or if the “witch hats” translation is accurate.
Endo also says that his inspiration to start drawing small child characters was Yuzuyu from Aishiteruze Baby, which I highly recommend.

Atleast Anya got parental care, Lucy didn't get even a proper friend (the one she had died while that organisation was capturing her)
