This manga kind of reminds me like Naruto in a sense. It has it's own world in the story, with it's own rules, and I think all great books do that for you; they provide you with a new surroundings and a world your not use to until you start reading it and you get sucked in. This world is a world like our until Mina (vampire queen) shows up and tells you, it isn't! That this world has vampires and other creatures too. You like the humans in the manga are just waiting to figure out everything you can about them. Do they fly, do they drink blood, are they scary? All of these questions can be answered if you read this amazing manga!
I really think this manga is very life like in a sense by the way. It is fiction (vampires, duh!) but it takes part in modern japan with human people's reactions and human emotion... well some human some vampiric.
The anime really isn't anything like the manga. The manga is still in being published so the director of the anime only did some of the plot of the manga but a lot of it was twisted to there liking.
