well., Angel beats! is indeed a brilliant anime series. I also watched it because Yuri, one of the lead heroines (aside from Kanade, the seemingly little girl with white hair) was voted as the top favorite anime gal for months. I guess so?!
Anyways., I really did love the character of Yurippe. She was very cute, ideal and clever leader and of course, she knows how to kick ass!! She had this fierce personality that I really adore. yeah, I guess the reason of my fondness for this anime series was all because of her. :XD
Nevertheless, the whole story was unique and ... brilliant, comme ci, comme ca. :PP The action scenes were marvelous., the pacing was fast enough to satisfy my fanatical liking to total awesomeness, and ofcourse- plenty of interesting characters (funny and weird individuals who have their own silliness to share w/ the viewers). The anime is also humorous. From time to time, you would find yourself, if not from smiling or overreacting, you'd just burst n2 laughing!
Aside from Yuri, I also like Hinata. He was very cute and had a lovable personality. I even prefer him over Otonashi-kun, the male protagonist of the series.
But of course, this series was very heartwarming too. I almost cried when I learned and saw how Otonashi died. I was like ... gosh! Why did it have to happen?!! my heart was hurtfully bleeding! swear!! >.< And Yuri's story was as upsetting as that of Otonashi-kun. All the characters belonged to SSS had their own stories to tell that will somehow make you teary-eyed.
Though I admit, I really hate how it ended. I mean, yeah, it was good. But I don't like the idea of Otonashi being inlove w/ ... with Kanade (the Angel)! The heck!! she looks too young for him, like a little sister or whatsoever!!
Yuri was more ideal for that silly guy, though I may say that she and Hinata could also make a good couple. :PPP
