*Spoiler free*
From the start let's address the elephant in the room. Or why I won't give this a low score just because it's misogynistic(and yes it hell of is). Anime is art and the purpose of art is not to show us only pretty things we would like to see(duh...!). Handling aside I respect it for tackling such a taboo theme. I mean no one is trashing "12 Years a Slave" for displaying slavery so why trash this purely on the fact that it's misogynistic. So I will not score it 1 or 2 just because I dislike one of the main themes.

Premise, Plot
The premise of the story is solid. We have a religious girl, churches, vampires and endless points of conflict. It's a pity that the solid base was wasted on a placeholder plot that was a pathetic cover for vampires bloodsucking a girl. And don't get me started on what's the bloodsucking a placeholder for. The whole thing was done in a retarded manner that was just wasteful.
Pacing
Well it's bad. From the start we have a different vampire "bloodsucking" the girl every episode. Then someone had the revelation that they needed an ending so they created one from there arses.
Complexity and Catharsis
The complexity is nonexistent, but then again you don't watch this anime for complexity. As for catharsis I was annoyed enough to write a review so.... some(I guess).
Conclusion
From the disappointing plot they actually got something that they can use in the future, but from it being a standalone it's again bad. Almost nothing changed in anyway for the heroine and the rest of the characters continued like - "well that happened blah,blah.....".

Characters
Ok we have the main heroine Yui Komori and the vampires. Why vampires and not names? Well they barely have the personalities of secondary characters. They are stereotypical with everyone having different traits. And they are...
1. The I am so cool and aloof.
2. The smart I'll do everything type.
3.The possessive and aggressive one.
4.The retarded.
5.The playboy.
6.The only possibly good one as a character,at least for me, so I won't spoil him.
The antagonists thrown in there for the flimsy plot are not worth mentioning.
And here is our heroine Yui. Now I will allow myself to make a comparison. Think of Fantine from Les Miserables turn her character around in the worse possible manner and you got Yui. She is brain dead and I mean really it's wow. She could be seen as a masochist if you have a kind look on her character, but no..... she is just a really weak character that is there to be the object for the rape like scenarios.
As a whole the characters are horribly inconsistent. They behave against all reason established by their character which they cling to(exept Yui the poor bird is just stupid). Also there is virtually no development. At least the backdrop was sort of not terrible on the grand scheme of things.

Art and Sound
The art I loved. It is positively gorgeous. If only the anime was as good as it's visuals. The whole theme created by the art was what I wanted the anime to be. The sound wasn't bad, I found a bit unmemorable. The opening was alright and the ending was good. The bite sound was annoying as hell.

Enjoyment and Recommendation
I am giving it the benefit of the doubt that in the future it will get better and this whole season was just a character intro(I hope it is).
Did I enjoy it? Parts of it no matter how small they were.
Would I recommend it? . As anime it's bad like really bad one of the worse I have seen. Yet it tackles(even if in a horrible manner) taboo themes which you do not see everyday. I mean I watched the whole thing so it has to have some redeeming qualities like the art and it's really short too.
As for recommending it, it's a resounding NO. There are definitely better things to watch and do, but at the end you decide.
