Watch out for the fairies. Otherwise you can be tricked in to liking the Jinrui wa Suitai Shimasita series.

Bizzare, scattered, peculiar. The storytelling of Jinrui wa Suitai Shimasita, also known as "Humanity has declined", is similar to popular series like Baccano and Suzumiya Haruhi. The plot was hard to follow as it was told in a very random, non-linear manner, and I am not quite sure what the director was aiming for. For this reason I would recommend to watch episodes in the following order: 10, 7, 8, 3, 4, 9, 5, 6, 1, 2, 11 and 12. By this the beginning follows manga's original storyline. Also, this way the best parts are saved for the last.

Even with its flaws I did find it entertaining. The anime had the feeling of fairy tale. The art was quite simple but especially backgrounds were from a storybook. The protagonist, Watashi, is likable but the reason, why I kept watching this series, are the fairies. If you like the taste of sweets you need to watch out for a sugar rush, that cute they are.

All in all, Humanity has declined gave me mixed feelings. It made me frustrated and bored but also laugh and somewhat touched. It is a good way to past time when you want to turn your brain off.
