Both have rich story telling and pull you into the dark twisted worlds they inhabit. Both stories make you feel as though you were experiencing the events firsthand, including the pain and psychological stress the characters experience.

The setting in both of these manga is a similar medieval and dark theme. The main characters have to fight for survival. The fights in both manga are very stunning and the stories have a very mysterious thing to them. If you like mangas with a lot of action and very good and deep stories, then you should give both of these manga a try.

Blood. Limbs and guts scattered. Oh my, your hands would probably get sweaty as you see squads of underdogs fighting against the odds in order to not get slaughtered. These series are both set in medieval times with strong political and military themes. Also, the two have supernatural mysteries that add more to the lore of their worlds. Overall, Berserk and Shingeki no Kyojin are two thrilling, intense series.
