Both works feature a protagonist who is drawn into a world of thrills, crime and intrigue due to events outside of their control, but rather than being swept away they make a decision to take a stand and push on forward out of their own volition.
These are mystery stories where nothing is ever clear cut and one can never know who can be trusted.
Both series feature interesting set of characters with peculiar quirks and art style is very pleasant to look at.
