Phantom ~ Requiem For the Phantom is fanciful than Golgo 13, but both delve into the world of elite assassins. If you liked one, you may well want to consider the other.
Both anime are about professional assassins. While the outcome of some missions are predictable with the lead character being nearly invincible & unbeatable, both shows are still very entertaining.
Golgo 13 and Phantom Requiem involves around assassination. The main male protagonist are skilled specialists who are capable of undertaking missions from clients.
Both series the darkness of society involving various criminals, con-artists, and corruption as the main characters deals with them; usually with violence. Speaking of violence, both series has mature scenes along with bits of fan service (more so in Golgo 13). There is also a theme involving identity crisis of the main male protagonists from both series.
both stories focus on mercenary for hire type noir stories as well as lots of action,suspense and unexpected shit that can happen at anytime.
