No, the biggest selling point for both are the characters, but both get the viewer rooting for - not always the good guys, but some bad guys. Or are they really bad guys?

Essentially, both series' main characters are thrown into a game scenario where their lives are at risk. The difference is that Btooom's players are all playing for themselves while the characters from Akuma no Riddle are out to eliminate one target to fulfill their own wish. Unlikely alliances are formed and surprises exists throughout both series. There is strategy involved as characters unleashes their intellect and skill to do anything to accomplish their goals. Expect some dramatic entrance and exits from both series. If you're into series with survival game themes, I suggest to give both shows a try.
