Kizumonogatari I: Tekketsu-hen. This review will be based on the movie itself, in it's entirety, as a movie. Not it's production studio, nor the sexual themes that everyone loves to talk about. Yes, Kizumonogatari people, and I'll try to keep this short.
Honestly speaking, if your even thinking of watching this at all, the most likely reason would be that you enjoyed Monogatari series. This movie stays true to the visual enigma it has been through various adaptations. For me, it has the best visuals out of all the other adaptations to date. The character design was excellent, still looked like the good ol' characters we

knew and loved all while looking more refined and intricate. Animation was good enough for movie standards. Voice Actors are the same as the other adaptations, so I have nothing to say there. Background music eluded me a bit though. It didn't have any noticeable BGM for me. Dialogue-wise, it was fine. The same endearing banters, the same long winding monologues:D. The visual transitions, parallelism, repetitions,.... (etc) are all still there. Without it, this film wouldn't be Monogatari otherwise. The CGI was kind of underwhelming. Background movement didn't mesh well with the subject's movement, or CG characters moving a bit rigidly. I say it was underwhelming, but it can pass off as unnoticeable.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience with Kizumonogatari I. I'd definetly recommend this to all Monogatari fans out there. I was a bit disappointed though, given the time the film was in development. This movie would have been an easy 8, but since Shinobu is my waifu, I'm giving this a 9 XD.
