It's only style, not substance nor effort. I'll discuss it in the following aspects:
Production: 5/10
The most flawed aspect of the anime. The animation is really janky, the movement and composition of the figures lacks any fluidity, softness or impact. The movements are forced and the lack of impact makes the action scenes not enjoyable. This is especially notable in the opening sequence where Kasey's movement instead of enticing, looks uncanny. Even City Hunters was better.

Design: 8/10
The design and art is attractive and stylish. However, style needs talent to be actually delivered. The character design does wonders here but it fails to translate into animation. The ... use of color is interesting and mostly on point. There is little inconsistencies when the characters are in action and they may look a bit weird. The music is dynamic and properly used and even features Towa Tei whom I liked since the early 00's, however, the scat used in the opening song is not nice.
Johnny Bolt after the time break is unrecognizable either way.

Development: 6/10
The overall story is okay. There is nothing more to say since it's so simple and so happy like a fairy tale. The characters despite their likeness and good appearance are not explored or dissected unto more than what they look to the eye. The second part of the anime however falls into laziness and commodity, where all the factors magically fall into place to perform the biggest heist.

Fun: 6/10
The enjoyability of the anime falls as a result of the mentioned aspects. I really liked what they tried to do in the anime but how it was delivered it lets much to be desired. Specially after how pretty the designs are,everything is cramped into the existing episodes, not a single motif of the anime feels well explored or even completed:
-The love story between two criminals
-A world of persons with superpowers
-A mafia of supervillians
-The life of the secondary characters

Overall, it may be fun to watch but will end up dissapointed.

It's a run of the mill modern isekai anime. It has its ups and downs but I think there are some redeeming qualities, as I will proceed to explain.

**SPOILERS AHEAD**

Story.- In my opinion the strongest aspect of the anime. The story follows the life of Mathias Hildesheimer, he has attained the strongest powers he could be capable of in the use of magic. Since he had defeated all the demons his lust of power and challenge led him to reincarnate a few thousand years in the future to get a specific mark (which works as a configuration of the powers he'd be able to use ... and is assigned at birth). To his surprise he found the world of the future a decadent mess: the arts of magic were almost extinct and his prowess of the past rendered him to a divine status. The forte of the story is how the demons had infiltrated the academia, positions of power and other roles in human society to degrade and limit the people's potential in order to further their evil plans. It's specially relevant how it parallels the actions of a certain demographic in the current world. 8/10

Art- It's poor. And the animation is barely decent but conveys what it needs to. Still, it has the quality of digital straw men who just make the programmed motions. No detail, no drive, no lightning. The anatomy is inconsistent and the character design is too simple. 3/10

Characters.- It manages to make it convincing that the OP protagonist knows everything even if there's no explanation. There is no development in the secondary girls even if there is a certain romance between Mathias and Lurie. Iris is the best in her human form if you forget she's a dragon. 6/10

Sound.- Forgettable, it just works. 6/10

Enjoyment.-- Despite all its flaws I enjoyed watching it since the events are well sequenced and the story gives purpose to all of the team's actions. 8/10

Median: 6.2 ~ 6 : It's okay.

I can say with all conviction that this is the Best Anime Ever 10/10. Trust me. It's the anime that changed my life. Something so sacred I haven't even watched the sequels because I don't want to hurt my image of the FLCL world. Don't know how long this review has to be since it's not written the minimum word count allowed tho. And the Please write a longer review message doesn't stop showing up.

Literally the metric I judge the rest of anime upon.

In the final scene the boy now grown as a young man decided that his life was of going forward. Life had already beaten him (in an spectacular way) and the memory of his new friends and former rivals propel him to the future. In the road to eternity he makes a stop to meditate and reflect on what just happened, closing the best fighting anime of those years.
"I have come here to find myself"
He says.
Story: Simple but exciting: 9
Art: While the outrageous designs from the manga are watered down, it still leaves an impression: 8
Sound: The music has the incomparable flavor of 90's house ... and early electronic, pure vibes: 10
Characters: A vivid interpretation of human emotions: 8
Enjoyment: A rollercoaster of emotions that will inspire you to be better: 10

What would happen if you'd be forced by a mysterious force -be it good or evil- to be extremely honest ALL the time? What would happen is, at first, that you could not have any kind of typical healthy relationship with friends, family or society. The full weave of social interactions would be destroyed by the total disrespect to societal norms, appearances, empathy or egotistic desire. You'd be a monster, or simply put, someone really awful to be near of. It would be awful because from such a stark tongue there would get out anything else but the truth. The hard truth, the things you ... deny in front of the mirror everyday, those issues you expect to solve themselves, the problems with your neighbors that you don't want to have a fight for. But that's just by yourself, in other people's eyes you'd be that nasty m*therf*cker that goes around the world pointing out ugly noses, pleasant lies and reading people's t-shirts loudly and by doing so denouncing the stupidity of it all, the eternal doom of the suburban existence, the emptiness of our hearts.
I may have described a monster but that's precisely what this anime is about: monsters. In the very first episode we see a home spirit moving to Tokyo in hopes of have a good life. But what a surprise she had when in the city she finds that the man has degenerated into a slug that crawls between the train and their home while constantly lying to themselves to feel fine. Tatami-chan, the monster, clashes every time she tries to live the tokyoite way: in the train, dating, in the park and in this resulting clash one can find amusement that in the apparently nonsensical jokes, a cold, hard truth hides behind.
The way of life of the contemporary (Japanese) human is thoroughly analyzed and criticized by the author by the magnificent vehicle of a non-human observer, unmasking aspects of our conscience that we maybe couldn't have put into words before. A example of this genius reaches its top in episode 5 where the social networks are the topic. An anime like this is certainly a gem in the mud that dared to do what few dare. The seemingly poor art and almost non-existent animation take a secondary place after you begin to catch the undertones of the anime.
Apart from that, the character design is cute and the music is really enjoyable, specially the ED song -which I've been searching like a madman- by Oresama. One of the biggest flaws tho, is that it's too short and the episodes, too few.
I think I've said enough but I don't want to end without commending you, anime fan, to take a hard and extensive look of yourself in the mirror and try to find the reason behind your acts and your place in this life. It's hard but maybe not much after watching Zashiki Warashi no Tatami-chan.
