Jigokuraku (Anime) add
Hell's Paradise is the type of show that I've been longing for. Loose plot armor, meaningful character deaths, philosophy and etc. It's one of the Shonens that tries not to follow the trend of many modern anime adaptations nowadays. I can't recommend it enough. Every character has a personality of their own and we as the audience get to sympathize with most of them and their pasts. All the horrible reviews that are being made for this anime, don't listen to them. I'm giving this anime a generous 10/10, it had made me interested enough to read the manga.

Anyone with a basic understanding of ...

Preliminary (64/94 eps)
Spoiler
Skip the fillers, read the manga after the Kyoto arc. Nothing else to say here. If you expect historical accuracy, it's not that accurate. It has a semi-realistic approach to powers that is consistent enough.

The fillers are by far one of the worst Shonen fillers you will ever see in your life. Avoid it 100%. The movies are a prequel to Kenshin's past life and how he received his scar, something that is superior in quality than the anime itself. After Kyoto arc, the characters become two dimensional, straight up an insult to it's own story.

You will find it boring. Some character development ...

Jin-Rou (Anime) add
Mixed Feelings
I suggest not reading reviews before watching a story as it can ruin the element of surprise. I gave this a 10. What I will say is that it's an old animation that some people won't find that emotional due to it's 2000s storytelling style. Nowadays modern anime focus on flashy and "cool" animations without uniqueness and substance. Jin-Rou is a good example of a movie with unique substance. It's a rather straightforward and short movie that can leave a lot desired like Princess Mononoke. Keep an open mind that these movies are old and are what shaped similar animations, tropes and stories today. Whether ...

**MOSTLY SPOILER-FREE REVIEW**

What aged really well was honestly its animation for a 1997 anime movie, it's a shame that most anime that are made nowadays never really put that much effort into its animation and art ...

The anime is fine, doesn't follow the game's plot but rather mixed the endings together. I started with Disgaea 3 until I went back to play its previous predecessors, I started to appreciate the 1st game's plot a lot more than most of its newer games. The anime did an ok job with its adaptation, the comedy at least. This is an honest review with Disgaea. For those who had played this game assuming most of its viewers did, would enjoy it for what it is (like me). However, for those who haven't played the game would probably not like it, not like the person ...
