My only question left: Is vlc your default player?

MALUpdater goes after the default first i believe, if you use vlc as secondary player (read as not set as default) then it will not pick that to run the episode. In this case you will have to set it manually.

Sorry to interupt, i saw you have problems with VLC and MALupdater. I myself use VLC and MALupdater, but i have no problem whatsoever. Even if i run it from USB (i use the portable version od the program), it seems to pick up all my anime fine and can start up VLC if i press watch next epsiode.

I'm sorry to state i wouldn't really know how to fix it. Try messing around in the settings>play next & folders. If using the default player doesn't work, perhaps setting a path manually to a player might do the trick.

Hi :) There's currently no known issues with VLC, please post in the forum with details and I'll have a check.
