Not the best fantasy/shoujo manga out there, but I would say it's pretty good and worth giving a try!
Although the romance is cliche and quite cute, it's definitely not shallow as some of the fantasy shoujo's I've read before. I think that there is an underlying issue of discrimination against difference races/classes that we have to deal in our world today, that the mangaka tries to symbolises in this mythical world and she does it pretty well. The art style is also very beautiful and it's fun to be taken to another world all together. The lead female is completely badass as well and

you keep rooting for her.
The only thing I would say is that prevented this from being any better is the pacing, I feel it would have been better if it was just slightly longer, where you really get to see the lead characters grow in more depth. It would have also been better if we got to explore the world around them and side characters a bit more too.
But overall, I would say it's definitely worth giving this a shot. It's still a fun read if you're looking for a cute romance with an underlying heavier plot!

I would say this is one of my favourite shoujo mangas by far! The art style is gorgeous, the storyline flows well, and the characters have so much growth that it makes you really proud to see how far they’ve come by the end of the series!
The female lead is incredibly likeable from the start. Her personality reminds me a bit of Tohru from Fruits Basket, where she’s been through so much tragedy and you can't help but admire her for still being kind and resillent. traits as a sign of weakness, but I like that in Love So Life, it's her feminine aspects that are her strengths.
The age gap in the romance part put me off at first, but somehow the mangaka manages to go about it with innocence, where you still find yourself rooting for the pair throughout everything. The only thing is that the ending could have been paced a bit better and it ended up feeling a bit rushed.
Overall I definitely recommend this! I would consider it one of the classics. Incredibly heart-warming and has a lot of life lessons sprinkled in. The art style is also beautiful, the mangaka really focuses on details. Plus anyone would swoon at how adorable the twins are!

If you're looking for a cliche, light-hearted, love triangle "harem", with a little bit of sports, I would say this manga is for you!
Most of the characters are pretty likeable, and the story progresses relatively well. The male and female lead have a decent amount of growth throughout the series, and you find yourself rooting for the side characters too.
The only thing I wasn't too keen about was the love-triangle, as I didn't find Aya a particularly pleasant character, and found his behaviour a bit overly possessive. I also would have preferred if the female lead was more decisive and sure of her feelings

with the two guys, as after a while watching her going back and forth between the two male love-interests got a bit tiresome and repetitive.
I would say the number one thing that made this manga so enjoyable to read was the art! The characters are very well drawn and you can tell that the mangaka took their time and effort with all aspects of the characters, the backgrounds, set-design, etc. They are all distinguisable from each other and have their own defining features.

I’ve never written a review before but this manga disappointed me so much that I just needed an outlet to vent. Perhaps I was probably expecting too much, seeing as for so many years this manga was always on trending and so popular. To start, I’ve read some very great shoujo mangas before, and also some very bad ones - I would have to bluntly say this goes at the far end of the “bad” spectrum.

out or likeable. She’s not particularly kind-hearted or driven. In the short span of just the first few chapters, she goes from hating the male lead because he rudely rejected her best friend, to helplessly falling for him, for no apparent reason other than he’s good-looking and likes her cooking?
Aside from that, he has been nothing but mean towards her. The trope of the “good, average-girl wanting to change the mean-spirited bad boy” isn’t anything new in shoujo, but there’s a fine line between being playfully flirtatious and just downright pushing the boundaries into harassment. The scenes where she is forced together (and not just with the the male lead but with so many other guys) in oddly sexual situations made me uncomfortable as the story didn’t flow well and it was so predictable and forced.
The main plot itself of two people of opposite genders being forced to live together has been done plenty of times in shoujo too, but when done right can be comical and make the characters/story develop in interesting ways. However in this case, the story is just cliche and predictable that after reading so many chapters, there is no growth at all (in fact the female lead feels like she’s moving backwards). The way she constantly pines after the male lead when he has been frankly quite toxic towards her is just pitiful. There isn't much development with any side characters either, as most of them seem to be thrown in just to cause forced drama and friction between her and the main male lead.
The art style is decent, not the best I’ve seen but also not the worst. I do feel like all the characters are drawn so similarly to each other that it got a bit confusing though, with just a change of their hair-colour/hair length being their defining features, but that’s it. The background art and set design in the manga itself isn’t particularly eye-catching and I feel is actually a bit plain, despite how aesthetic the covers are.
Overall, if you like very predictable, over-dramatic shoujos without much character development, you still might find LDK enjoyable. I found it disappointing after all the hype over the years.
