Just watch it, it's short and funny and you will be on your way in no time.
This is an anime about a 30 year old corporate drop out woman who chooses to become a NEET, a self proclaimed elite NEET. You will relate to the characters and like the show if you have ever been insecure about anything, like playing MMOs, and/or like boy meets girl comedy. The story quickly turns into a romantic comedy while playing an MMO. The story is less about the MMO playing, though there are some things they get right, and more about the relationship

This anime was almost totally awesome. Almost.... It was a great storyline about vampires and humans living in a post-apocalyptic earth in the distant future. What?! That is awesome! The main character Abel was a bad-ass with a dark past of bad behavior (apparently) and a quirky split personalilty who wouldn't kill humans... who was kind of basically Vash from Trigun. Yah, he isn't a human.
Almost totally awesome! But the ending and I had a bad break up, I mean basically there wasn't an ending at all, only a few disatissfying explanations.... This wasn't as bad as ...

This is a lighthearted romantic comedy with magical/spirit elements that you should watch if you like that sort of thing. This anime is great because of the kind heart and thoughtfulness of Nanami, her good mood puts you in a good mood, but she has flare too which is fun. Tomoe's past keeps it interesting. Basically the humor and build up of the characters is what makes this anime 9/10, it's not like the greatest story ever told, but who cares, it's funny and keeps you coming back for more. Also, they mostly wrap up everything with explanations, unlike most other anime I've seen.

What the flameo happened here?
I know that it is easy to be a critic and all... but: This Anime is best summed up by an announcement made at 20:44 in the last episode of the series: "Uh, at this point we are still unable to determine exactly what is happening." If you watch that scene before watching the series you might think to yourself that you would be able to figure out what is actually happening if you had watched the entire series... good luck. Admittedly my misunderstanding(s) and non-understanding(s) could be due to the fact that I don't know much about Shinto legends. ... |
